Look at Hellgate London... It's looks great and rpg elements in it look great. Not every action-rpg is Oblivion.

Fallout brotherhood of steel... if i remember the name right..
it was VERY VERY bad...
I gave it 15min of my life... will never play it again...

I agree - and no matter what, if they want to make another action rpg they could make a sequel to Brotherhood of steel or a new series instead of a fallout 3 anyway.

OK, Micro Forte FTL, but they managed to develop a genuinely good game, true to the Fallout gameplay, the story was a little off though.

In fact Hellgate London look really similar to Diablo and thus Oblivion.
As for fallout, I've never really played the previous ones (just thinking about a turn based combat system make me sick) so I'm happy if this goes action.

At least that piss-poor dev was loyal to the originals and made it turn-based. The game was good enough for me to play it to the end.
Fallout is an Old-school turn-based RPG. And its one of the best games ever for a lot of people.... why change the formula?
I don't think they are going to make Fallout 3. They are going to make another action-rpg witn 'Fallout' in its name. It could be fun, but i'm 99% sure that it wont be Fallout

I think people are getting confused between Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel, which was a pretty good game, and the console game Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, which was a flaming pile of shit. The only real problem with Tactics was that while they were crossing the Fallout engine with something similar to Jagged Alliance they removed most of the scripting and storyline potential.
And Fallout 3 is going to be an abomination like every other game Bethesda has made.

Calling Bethesda games abominations is overkill, they just make mainstream games, and they make good games, I'd actually rate Morrowind as one of the best games I played. Oblivion was fun and I spent plenty of time playing it, nothing memorable, but definately fun.
