I got UT2004 installed in linux but when i try to run it i get a message saying "your cd key appears to be invalid .... "

now i can't just copy the ut2004.exe Deviance file into the System folder because the binary in linux in the System folder is called ut2004-bin .. I tried renaming the deviance ut2004.exe into ut2004-bin and it didn't work either ...

so anyone gotten ut2004 devinace release to work in linux ?

Yes, I got it to work, the DVD release, I did not need to copy a crack or anything, all I did was install the game and insert the serial found in the NFO then run the game.

But you cannot play online without buying the game and get a working serial.

on the windows side of things there were actually these 2 dlls that were released and u overwrite the current dlls in the ut directory and they allow u to play online with other ppl who are also using hte same dlls.. this works fine in windows for me. but i cant get em to work in linux since linux doesnt use dlls Sad
