Bayonetta is a stylish and cinematic action game, directed by Hideki Kamiya.
A witch with powers beyond the comprehension of mere mortals, Bayonetta faces-off against countless angelic enemies, many reaching epic proportions, in a game of 100% pure, unadulterated all-out action. Outlandish finishing moves are performed with balletic grace as Bayonetta flows from one fight to another. With magnificent over-the-top action taking place in stages that are a veritable theme park of exciting attractions, Bayonetta pushes the limits of the action genre, bringing to life its fast-paced, dynamic climax combat.
Demonstration showing the game on the "very easy" difficulty with the one button gameplay mode.

(Interesting feature if nothing else or what to say.)

A patent uncovered in January revealed that Nintendo has thoughts along similar lines, covering a system which would allow players to pass complete control to the game.
this says quite a lot about today's gaming "culture"
Formed from Seeds and ODD Inc, PlatinumGames boasts some of Capcom's old Clover Studio staff, including Atsushi Inaba (producer of Viewtiful Joe), Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil creator), and Hideki Kamiya (director of Devil May Cry and Okami).
Remember DMC4 had some kind of handicap system also. Like instead of having the player time the fx gauge the game did it auto, or something along those lines.
Don´t care much if it´s in there, can´t really see how anyone will enjoy playing a game that way though. What´s the point in succeding?
The one thing the short demonstraion showed was what cool combos and moves one can pull off if skilled enough.
not gonna bother with the psn version, that 1 runs like shiite.
quite the contrary. runs fluid, gfx are alright.
didn't have any high expectations, but i have to say the demo is quite good. devil may cry carbon copy deluxe (too bad the devs also copied the fixed camera angles).
Just finished playing the demo, i must admit i've never seen such a good hack 'n slash game before, normally i dislike them. Nice graphics, nice surroundings, like the big monsters a lot, very nice effects, nice gameplay and you have a huge power to kill those big big motherfuckers.
Haven't heard of this title before and it surprises me in a very positive way. Played it without it was boring me one bit, on the contrary, there was constant action and i had to concentrate very well so maybe the process of going down the hill has already started After 15 minutes when i finished the demo my wrests did hurt a bit from pressing those damned buttons so quickly. Maybe that even emphasizes what i just said even more. Demo seems not to be very difficult but that will change for sure in the entire game. ( i hope )
Yeah I also noticed that, quite weird. Might it be because of something like: 360 has more RAM, but PS3s GPU is better? (I have no idea about the console specs and are too lazy to look them up, but it sure seems to be optimized like this)

I think a lot of the PS3 games use Quincux (2x) AA. Which generally gives a less jaggy PS3 game but the Quincux AA bears a certain blur. Thus most 360 games appear sharper... Add the better textures the 360 has in most games, and the games do look better.
The PS3 can do magic though, which is obvious in non-cross-platform games like Uncharted and Killzone 2...
i'm not saying that they could/should not have optimized it more. but i didn't noitce any framerate drops and enjoyed it - instead of wanking off to fps scores
It was actually converted by Sega which is the surprising part because they are familiar with PS3 development. I guess it's the 'conversion' process which makes it difficult - like trying to shove a triangle through a circular hole. Either way it will be something for fanboys to lick their lips over, though I suspect for those without a 360 and no inclination to purchase one that the difference is so meagre as not to impact their enjoyment of the game. At least that's what I'm reading from those who've played it on both systems.
Maybe that's because Sony doesn't pay Sega for additional special care that PS3 versions always seem to need? How come ALL of multiplatform games have bigger or smaller issues on the PS3? That's not a coincidence. Sony probably spends ridiculous amounts of cash to get these 2 or 3 exclusives looking and running properly on their console.
