so i slept through the entire bangkok dangrous movie, HOWEVER before i passed out i saw the trailer for MAX PAYNE and my god did they ruin it..
first mark walbeg doesn't look old enough to be max payne... secondly, although i saw evidence of bullet time effects, there wasn't nearly enough... thridly, they skipped the first and second game's script? WTF is up with demons and shit?
they properly fucked it...

the demons are hallucinations. it's pretty much an anti drug movie. I just hope marky mark won't pull a happening in this movie. Either way it'll be a decent action flick. Studio made it rated R and the director is arguing. Me might see the cut version or still an R rated movie. Eitherway, from the shots in the trailers it don't look half bad. Just not game like, then again, movies true to the game are done by uwe boll and you can tell how they turned out. They turned out like shit, if you hadn't figured it out. As long as they keep the basic story, cop has his family murdered and he goes after the peeps who done it (as it is the premise of this movie) then it won't be half bad. Sadly no conspiracies, no awesome characters from the game, etc etc etc. It just uses the basic premise from the game and I don't mind that. It'll be a decent action flick which is fine by me. But since we're an all gaming bunch we'll hate it. I won't since I never finished any of the max paynes since i got bored. Only good things in MP series were the voice overs and that's one main thing I'll miss in the movie as the voice overs occur only in the begining of the movie and the end.
And as I said, if they named it Jason Malarky, no one would give a fuck cause it'll pwn either way, but since they got a fanbase of max payne hating this movie, it'll suck regardless no matter how close they get to the visuals of the game and the action. Either way it'll be a decent action flick and since max payne is pretty much invincible, i'm hoping for a shoot em up kind of a flick with sensless violence and kick ass atmosphere. That's all I want. And I'll be happy.

I also didnt like the demons part.. Its too fake. Max payne was quite the down to earth game IMO.. the dreams and shit was fucked up, but realistic.
