well it's the 1st that makes no mention about ridiculous claims that the particle collisions will create a singularity that would swallow the entire solar system.
it's a clean thread about the LHC, but anyway, does anyone know the time it's due to be turned on and if there's any research already scheduled for tomorrow?

well we're not dead till later if anything.
Tomarro they're just turning it on. Then later in a long long long while they'll collide the particles and shit or summin.
Quote:
the first attempt to circulate a beam through the entire LHC is scheduled for 10 September 2008,[4] at 7:30 GMT and the first high-energy collisions are planned to take place after the LHC is officially unveiled, on 21 October 2008.[5]

So d-day is on august 21st when we're all gonna be fighting off headrabs or sum shit. But yah, tomarro they just so gonna push a button and a light will go upitty and downitty and all around and get stronger and stronger and stronger and then on the 21st they'll push another botten and it'll go splash and swoosh and we'll find out the meaning of life.
I had a pwn dream yesterday or today morning somewhat related to this whole thing it was lol and scurry.
Wonder how you end up where this guy is, without being diagnosed as ill....Maybe he is I guess?
I like how he laughs at perceived technical mistakes as being ridiculous and irrational, then moves into perfectly calm statements about angels and the Antichrist.....

Amazing.........
watch this one also, this is the next Tom Cruise....
he's not crazy or irrational. he has a belief in something stupid and irrational, doesn't mean he has a screw loose in his head. y'know. Scientology and other religions are as rational as anything else in the world. You can't laugh at people for believing in something. Christianity is as foolish as Scientology and same with other beliefs around the world. Lol all you want. If you can't accept the fact people need to have a belief in something it's stupid and you're stupid and feckin faggy. The guy makes legit points event though faggy as fuck, but he still believes in them greatly. You can't lol at that. Same as atheists are gay as fuck. They rely on science which can as well be gay and stupid. If people believe that some stupid as fuck thingie came from space and gave us life, well let them. Don't socialize with them. Don't be friends with them. Don't invite them inside your backyard for a bbq. But making fun of them all, doesn't make you any better. Once there's concrete proof that one of the religions is true and accurate then you can lol at the stupid pagans and Christians and sews and Muslims and study your chemicals and enjoy space travel, but until that day comes when all religions are nullified and the big bang is true and Darwin wasn't some idiot on shrooms , it's really arrogant and ignorant for making fun of some peoples beliefs.
The problem is that you can't make any experiment that would explain religion believes. I think that the need that people have to believe in something greater that them, partially comes from an in born fear of accepting their own choices and actions. It's a lot easier to say:˝It's god will˝ then say:˝I don't like the way you think, so I will burn your heretic ass...˝
The history is full of misusing ˝geater power˝ for peoples own agenda. That kind of thinking has great impact on actions of individuals who can actually change something.
I'm not saying there aren't those who actually do good because they really believe that, doing good will send them to heaven. But their impact can easily be rewritten by people who think differently, and have means to influence the masses...

thats true you know. newton didnt discover gravity. the apple told him about it, and then he killed it. the core was never found.
I personally wasn't laughing at the guy, I said I wonder how you get to where the guy is...
The question wasn't grounded in the fact that he has faith in something that isn't tangible and can't be proven, like religion;
It was more to do with the fact that it's such a unique hybrid of science and hardcore doomsday religion; seems like the guy certainly likes attention judging by his 'lets have a vote to see if I stay on youtube video'....
