seeing as it's been over half a decade and looking at the terror-fear that induced - now i compare that with major terror incidents...
people should realize that something in a scale of 9/11 won't be happening any time soon.
so, airport security! get of my freaking back already... (or insert any security or law enforcement agency you want...)

While i think it was a horrible thing... i dont know why we have to be forced to show how sorry we feel about it, we shouldnt forget about it but i get really pissed especially when trying to surf the net how ppl act this was the most horrible thing ever and nothing compares to it.
I also hate how politicians abused this event for their own agenda, and still do, cause in iraq/afghanistan for many people it has been a 9/11 every single day for years and same goes for any war, yet the same who think you should show how horrible these attacks were dont give a shit cause as long as its not on their own soil human live is just a political tool used when needed aka georgia.
yes i just derailed this thread and dont feel bad about it.

Well considering Bush & Co were behind it the question is will Bin Laden ever be caught. They just wanted to make an excuse to attack Iraq.
People still believe a bunch of muslim fighters were able to amas such a project and carry it out flawlessly...
Dont mess with God, he can impregnate your girlfriend/wife without taking his pants off!

I was going to highschool too. First time that i came home 4 hours later after school, I saw it first at 17:00 on TV.
And its 4 years after the tsunami in Indonesia and other countries, and does anyone think about these people
actually 229,866 people.

you're exactly right, but none of that matters, because you can't revenge yourself on nature, you can't torture nature and put it behind bars.
people need a scape goat, a personification of a responsable(s) of a tragic event so they can't put their blame on.
an accident is casual, it can't be blamed or made justice with.
people only care when they know they can revenge themselves, people want a justification for inflict justifiable pain in another person, not everyone is like this of course, but most people are, that's why 2000 deaths are more important than 230.000.

7 years in iraq and we only get night shots and pictures of explosions, but the second russia touches georgia, you get the whole crying families, annhilated buildings & houses, heavily injured people, the whole deal. I give the media a thumbs down.

you would be suprised how many people are 100% influenciated by the media, when the conflict between Russia and Georgia started, I was commenting the exact same thing at dinner with my father-in-law, my mother, my uncle and my grandmother-in-law.
in a matter of minutes a perfectly normal argument became a real bad discussion, it was all of them against me, arguing that Iraqi people don't appear on TV crying because they are savages that want nothing more that to blow everything away, in their minds Georgians were the victims of Russia, but in the other hand, the U.S. was the victim of Iraq, they couldn't conceive the idea of a normal Iraqi family running scared like those Georgian families they showed on TV, they main claimed was exactly that, "if Iraqis behave like that, we will see them on TV, everytime we saw Iraqi people on TV is either waving guns or blowing something away"
people have 100% faith on everything the news offers them, they don't question one bit about the other side...

It makes me angry that the people don't want to see the truth behind all this. America is killing it's own people and people are just standing by doing nothing... And sadly that's how it is in almost every place in the world! Osama, Al-Qaeda, all scapegoats made by few people who want to see the big wheel of war turning on and on... It saddens me to see what the world has become, and people in general...

7 years on and they still get the date the wrong way round. I suppose they have an excuse as it fits nicely with the emergency number over there..
We had terrorist attacks over here aswell. but being Brits we are far more refined and sensitive to others loss..
