Macs do everything PC's do but better. The software available is far better, the compatibility is amazing, there is no windows pc on earth that can do everything straight out of the box without installing drivers and other shite. Mac is all about comparability and simplicity.
If you are a designer/illustrator like me there is not a thing in the world I like more than opening a fresh canvas in PS CS3 with iTunes in the background. I agree Macbooks and others are overpriced, but they are expensive for a reason; they are quality products. Ive not had a single crash or problem with my macbook in the entire 7 months of owning it, (apart from the now fixed sleep screen bug with leopard).
iDontfollow either. Another thing I love about Mac is you dont have to worry about the 1281261926182618619 viruses and trojans you get on windows based systems, everything boots up fast as hell and runs smooth as butter off a hot knife.

as I said it is for people who wants simple computers easy to use, and I'm not one of those people
I need to upgrade however I want , gaming is very important in a computer for me , since when photoshopping and editing is on macs and not on PC?
as for trojans you must be a real idiot to recieve a trojan on PC , kaspersky on and no clicking on fishy links and you're good to go I've never had a fatal viruse or trojan and if Iever do kaspersky kills it instantly
the only reason that Macs don't have many viruses is that the majority uses windows , macs do have viruses too they're just not as spread as PC's
PC is a hardcore machine and a user friendly , if I just use a computer for office work and editing without gaming or running my favourite programs I'd just feel that this machine is limited for the high price I paid for it
