So in response to pistols accusation (J'ACCUSE !) that there is a new girl in my life, I was going to post on max's thread about it happening again, but I didn't want to hijack, so my response goes here instead.
There's a girl I'm basically dating now and .... my TA...
... posted in timechanges post about school . .. .
One of my TAs for a rhetoric class knows my name already, and has no idea about anyone elses, which is great. She's really socially awkward, her voice trembles when trying to speak to the class, and shes always laughing shyly. She's got these really cute like.. stances when she's trying to emphasize something, or when shes waiting for a question, she like, puts her hips really far to one side and like tilts her head...I can like picture it in my head. It's really adorable. I talk to her really sarcastically, and she gives it right back, which is great.
I've talked to her for a bit after classes both days. She's working on her PHD right now at my school. She actually gave me her cell # and told me if I was ever on campus and had some spare time to text her and we should grab a coffee. I sort of got her intrigued by saying I had some crazy stuff happen to me in my past which is why I delayed school 3 years. I told her I don't date professors like jokingly, and she said she's not a professor. It was pretty wild actually.
Sigh, I think I'm crushing on my TA, how typical.
...
And there's a girl I met on my first day on campus. Basically in every class I'm in I'm sort of the funny, outspoken guy, but of course, I add a lot of insight to things where I can. Profs know my name already, and we've had like 2 classes, TA's all know me as well. Anyhow, in one of my classes she sat down next to me and started chatting me up, pretty obviously hitting on me. She was pretty fucking cute, and my type (asian, really pretty) and so I flirted back. She's not really my type on a personality level though, she's just fun to hang out with sometimes. She's born in Korea and is REALLY naive.
She caught up with me today and said she came across some kids doing drugs and she thought when kids went to university they focussed on their studies... I was just... well facepalm. She's kissed me a few times and I just haven't really reciprocated. We hang out, she sits on my lap when we're hanging out in the big field outside the main lecture hall and such. Typical college crap. She's just too simple (and I gave her a chance to show some character depth). No real hobbies, goes home, sleeps, spends all day on campus in the library doing work, that honestly, I could do in like 10 minutes.
I'm basically just really happy that school is going well, and all my classes are interesting and I can do really well in.
Heres one of my courses, and this is worth 50% of my grade. I just have to post here and code the website - which I did. My assignments are hosted here and they are worth the other 50%. Basically, its a giant GPA boost.

I KNOW THE SITE SORT OF SUCKS, I DID IT IN 5 MINUTES.
Clearly, I don't talk to my friends enough about this crap as I fill the boards with nonsense.
Oh, and balancing 40 hours a week of work and 30 hours of class is pretty intense. I barely have any free time, but lucky for me I was able to do all my homework for most of my classes tonight. My first friday was hell because I was still figuring stuff out. Basically today I was at my school for 9am (up at 7 to get ready and catch the bus for 7:45) then i had class til 2:30 and then I came home, slept til 6:30 and started work at 7. I got to work, my friend here had 2 rockstars waiting for me, which was awesome and this girl that has a huge crush on me here had a salad made for me in the fridge. It was delicious. Thats a whole 'nother story. Good times!

Yea man, she really is. I didn't have too many of them in high school, but its fucking trippy sometimes to actually hear her like, sort of struggling with this internal rebellion. She says sometimes how she hates how her parents control her life, and then all the sudden like her eyes sort of refocus and then shes like telling me about how important it is in her culture to respect her parents.
I'm really wrestling with whether or not to encourage her corruption.
As for the TA... I want to, I'm gonna call her when I'm not on campus and ask her to a movie or coffee or something, haven't decided what yet.

Glad to hear things are going good.
Just a small heads up tho. Back in Uni my friends and I started hanging around on of the TA's. In the end there was problem within the group and the TA had to take sides. It was super intimidating after because they yapped to all the profs.
