im not saying it looks great like x2 or something, but ill bet you $50 that it'll be 10x better than spiderman 3 was.
but to be honest, dog shit on a piece of cardboard would help me win THAT bet...

Well, hopefully it turns out good, but from trailers and other promotional stuff it doesn't. And toping Spiderman 3 qualitywise is not that hard to do, lol.

i like downey i think he'll do a good job.. my main concern about the movie is the director, favreau - he kinda does kiddy shit, so i hope this movie isnt too immature and cheesy like the fantastic 4 ones are.

It depends what you'll be looking for. This'll be a solid comic book flick while TDK has turned into dark drama  it's grand and the action is uber cool, but like, it's a comic book movie for gorwn ups
this'll be for everyone  and i fucking loved zathura... he knows how to pull off money shots 
This'll be a nice addition to over the top marvel movies

No, this will be for one-liners and effects loving kiddies, just like most of the recent comic book movies. What you say about TDK (and about BB, I guess) is true, but the source it is based on (Year One and the rest) was also written for much more mature audience.

to be honest the only graphic novel adaptation im waiting for is watchmen... yes ive read it, yes i loved it, no im not someone who jumped on the zack snyder bandwagon after 300, but its definately shown that he can make a great adaptation... watchmen is going to be awesome.
i originally wanted to buy the dark knight returns from amazon when i bought watchmen and batman: arkham asylum (story was ok, stylistically it was awesome though) , but theyd sold out, so i missed out on that one really wanted to read it too - that and year one.

first of all he is too short and similiar beard doesn't make him look alike

but i think they decided to shove him at least for the first part of the film coz rest will be cgi mostly

I've still got a signed copy of Watchmen from years back, I am not looking forward to this adapation although I have to admit 300 and Sin City were extremely good versions, I fear Watchmen is a bit too complex for the mainstream and they may dumb it down, I could be way off the mark and sincerely hope it's not a V for Vendetta.
I love Iron Man and think Downey Jr. is perfect for Tony Stark, lets hope the director is up to it and the writers are on form.

Tony Stark is a drunk, wife beating asshole! That's why downy jr is so fucking awesome. He can be a prick! He used to be a prick. Tony Stark is a guy that gets laid everynight. Does drugs and drinks and is the all around party person until his life is affected! That's what i love about him. He can die at any minute and yet he does his best to save the world. He's like superman after being injected with kryptonite. He can die anytime anywhere but he dont' give a fuck no more. Ultimate killing machine. The suit keeps him alive but he made his peace with death. So he stays alive just to help people. So he'll do shit that could kill him and he won't care. That's what awesome about iron man. No fucking fear! He's daredevil only grown up! Batman only w/o the fear of death!

well the reason i AM looking forward too it, is because the director specifically said he WASNT going to change or dumb it down
personally i think watchmen had the greatest ending of any story ive ever read or watched... most films and books kinda build up to an ending that promises to be super evil and epic, but just end up fizzling into something relatively unimportant and dull, but watchmen's payoff was totally worth it and a really great idea, i loved it. i think the director could do a great job, and if he pulls it off, it could be one of the best films weve seen in a long time - im glad he hasnt gone for big name actors, he's cast relatively unknowns in the roles... so far its looking promising.
and yeah i dunno why people are rippin on the downey. hes a really good actor and i think hes perfect for the role. i just hope its an action packed film, not a cheesy 'talky' film. the only other way it could go, is a serious thriller, but i highly doubt thats where this films going. |

I think it's just a cameo crossover... The Incredible Hulk is another movie...
