I managed to get into the beta, and its one of the most addictive game ive ever played. With much better interface than FM07, and also no long loading because its all done server-side.

Its very playble even tho its 9 months from release, and its pretty bugfree for a such ealy beta.

Here is some screens:

one question for BTesters. How the game manages competitions?

Yes they did have some months ago, but its over now. The game is close to release "sometime this summer"

Im not sure if i will pick it up at release, dont know exact price yet, but i would guess around £6-8 per month.

You can make your own compeitions anytime you want and invite other clubs.

There are official leagues devided intro federations some federations are more popular because they all have different rules and playtimes. So some have more divisons than others. Normal around 3-4 divisons each federation and some youth leagues and cups.

Also a Champions League for the top clubs.

So everyone have to choose one team and play with it? How about big clubs like Real Madrid, AC Milan, Man Utd etc? Can someone choose them too or are they chosen pretty fast because there is tons of fans who want to play with them..

I'm a big fan of old Championship (and now) Football Managers but somehow i didn't understood what are the differences between FM08 and live version.

FM Live is a MMOG.There are no real teams, the player creates his own team.
You start with a small budget so you can buy enough players to create a team.
You then have to win leagues, trophies and private matches to earn money to create a better team.

hi guys, not to be the bad guy this time who rants on foot sims, i am a hattrick player myself.

But why do you guys keep playing the newer versions of football simulators? It is the same everytime. I bought Ultimate soccer manager 2 10 years ago when i was 12. I cannot imagine that i has changed a lot. Ok some fancier colors and some new player names.

But the basics are the same, build stadium, get advertisers, get players, training, play matches etc.

A lot has change. You now have to deal with the media, deal with the players demands, there´s pre game talk and half time talk which can really affect the way your team plays. And then there´s the match engine that makes every match unique. You can play the same match a million times and the outcome is always different.
USM 2 was a fun game back then but it was too unrealistic.I remember thrashing Atletic Madrid 12-1 with Barcelona and other unrealistic scores.
The FM games are very unique and addictive.

People are crazy for football here in Europe.
Every time the Portuguese national team plays in the Euro 2008,the country almost stops. It´s almost impossible to see someone on the streets, everyone is sitting near a TV.

Almost every building as a window with a portuguese flags.Restaurants, bars, stores, they all have flags.Near my apartment, there´s a place that was created for the Euro with some bars, giant screens and a stage where some bands play after the Portugal plays.

I´ve seen people from other countries who are studying or working in Lisbon dressed with their national colours or with enormous flags in their cars when their countries play.

I just love football. It´s 4 a.m. here and i´m just going to bed now because i was awake watching the match between Brazil and Argentina.

So,yes,i´m really into football,ehehe.
