Retrovirus is a Descent-inspired six-axis shooter by Cadenza Interactive, the team behind the 2010 XBox and PC game Sol Survivor. It features levels designed to force players to think off the ground and out of the box. Its pacing is similar to classic shooters like Quake and Unreal Tournament, and agile movement is at the core of the experience. Retrovirus also features a unique arsenal of weapons that do more than just dish out damage. By scanning residual weapon effects in the world, you can create gravity wells, knock enemies around or trigger charged blasts on groups of enemies.
They only have a week left and they need 75.000$, with 15.000 pledged so far.
I didn't play Descent much, but I did love it. My uncle used to play those a lot and I just liked that "classic shooter, but with a space ship" feel it had. Personally, I would love to see a return of that genre. This game maybe won't do it, but at least it will help in with that.

You know what would have been fun? Back in the 90's they made a kinda-similar game which used files on your hard drive and then displayed them inside the game. The idea for clips and pics to be displayed at certain points would have been cool - provided you could pick a folder so half your porn collection doesn't show up in the game .

You mean Operation Innerspace? I LOVE that game, had hoped this would be a spiritual succesor of sorts, its not. but its still a great game!
Did a quicklook review on it for those interested:
Well, I played this for a bit and from the start the performance was quite terrible, but the game was playable up until it started to get a bit more intense. I have an overall low framerate and on top of that I get a lot of stuttering too.
Currently you need to purchase at least 2 games which will cost you $1.50, but I'd imagine at some point in the next 10 days they'll do a $0.75 minimum. You'll also get a free Steam copy of Project Aftermath.
thing is it still my CC is still refusing online payments and my bank sayis that problem doesnt exist Might buy it later in sales on steam (using paysafecard).
So i justz aksked if anyone could upload updated files

And that $0.75 sales is in effect now. I will PM you a key for Retrovirus.
