Without knowing it of course. Now when I think about it... its pretty bizarre. When I drove home from work, a police car with the lights flashing blue (not siren), blocking the road rerouting people to an alternative road. I was first like, "well ok, I know they have been building out the road". I drove past her this morning when she wasn't found yet.

...but then again road workers should be enough. Not before I saw the big headlines on the largest newspaper sites I understand what it was all about.

A dead half naked woman with european looks 2 meters from the read. Its stated as a "mysterious death". They will probably find out more after the obduction(sp?), DNA test etc.

Whats strange is that no one is missing her, or know who she is.

There is probably an English link too, but im to lazy Razz

That is terrible. I see people passed out all the time. I called the police once because I saw a guy passed out in a baseball field and he didn't move positions for like 4 hrs that I saw. So I called. I don't know what happened with it.

New details: The police now have a theory that the lady was mowed down by a car when she was trying to pee. And then the driver probably paniced and did a hit and run. Well it could also be drunk driving driving and didn't notice/care. It happened in the dark (either late night, or early morning), so there where not any good witness observations other than a motorist that saw a car stopping near the death of the woman. They don't know if its related tho. So if I had to pee around 07.50 there too, maybe id see this dead woman Shocked Strange that she wasn't found before 14.42 tho. She can't have been lying visible.. I know im tired when I drive to work but still -.- hmm

Well, lets hope the road is opened today so i don't have to do that stupid 3+ km route.

Im just quoting the newspaper, I found it strange that it wasn't more specific on that :\

Well, they will find out who she is in some days. A big Van was observed breaking down to an almost stop in the middle of the night where they found the body the day after (yesterday)

She could have been

1. dropped of dead
2. mowed down by a car or
3. jumped/fell of the cliff witch is 15-20 meters tall.

It now says it was a hit'n'run in the newspapers.
Clothes partly ripped of because of the hit.

Wouldn't bother trying... It changes from town to town tbh...

Think if you need to use the word tapped in a sentence you probably won't need a slang dictionary anyway...

Be concentrating on trying to gtfo of whatever fucked situation you've got yourself into.. Very Happy

no i mean say Im with a buddy and we are in a bar and we are talking about a chick and he or me says something like "so dude, you wanna tap that?"....to any english person around its not gunna make any sense and we are gunna look like fools.

you know whats funny tho? all the english ppl ive met in canada, speak perfect english. like no slang whatsoever, they never use conjunctions and stuff.

Think your version of 'tapped' is pretty much universal thanks to Rappers and American films...

Slang is pretty subtle in the UK same as US/Canada really, just the odd complementary phrase like 'dude' etc, but English people in Canada speaking properly could be a class thing as well I guess?

The people that can afford to travel abroad and get a ticket to Canada are going to be further up the ladder than the working class, which is maybe where all the slang comes from?

Might be being a snob, certainly generalising..Dunno..

it comes from the expression. You know when you are a kid and you describe a crazy person, you put your finger to your head and twirl it around, or tap your head and say they are not quite right. Tapped. Thats all it means.
