Hello,
I built my PC about 2 months ago and I have been having this problem ever since. My PC hangs for about 2 minutes right after the BIOS finishes booting and before the WIndows Vista boot screen appears (splash screen with running progress bar). I have played with the BIOS settings and even flashed it with the latest BIOS but it still hangs for about 2 minutes. Anyone encounter this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Here are the specs of my PC:
Intel DP35DP motherboard
Intel Q9450 CPU
Corsair 8GB RAM
ASUS 8800GTS
2X Western Digital Hard Drives (500GB each)
First thing to do is pull out all the pci cards.. take it back to the very basics.. so if you have a graphics card in there.. leave that and pull everything out...
If it`s still hanging then your something else or your OS install is knackered! Not sure whether you can repair Vista like you would be able to with Vista
