As for the religious crazy. You know why they do that? because it scares them that they might be wrong and it makes them angry that they have devoted their lives to some they believe to be actual FACT.
Im a spiritual person. I believe in God (numerous ones actually). But in no way do I assume what I believe in is right and everyone else is wrong.
Religion is a myth, just like Santa Claus
Im not saying its bad to believe in say Christ (if your christian) but when you boil it down, he's just a myth, a symbol. And ALOT of ppl cant get that through their heads. They somehow think that it invalidates what they believe in, which it doesnt.
If there was one right religion, God would appear every so often and tell everyone that whatever religion is the right one.
You know what chaps my ass off most? My brother and his crazy wife belong to an evangelical church (and ive been to it, these ppl are fuckin crazy). Anyway, I talked to the minister one time. And I raised this question. If you dont believe in Christ your going to hell right? Well, what about ppl like the Dali Lama? Your telling me he's going to hell? come on....thats just ridiculous. The Dali Lama is one of the most spiritual, good hearted, peaceful men around.
Like i said, it scares christians to think that they are wrong for believing what they do is actually factual and not myth and they act out.

yeah, syco, thats a pretty healthy way to be believing, because you get the good from it all the while being able to cope with the bad sides of dogma. I know alot of modern christians are actually also kinda like that (the buffet-christians that take only the good bits from religion and arent trying to force the bible down everybodys throat)
when it comes to religious nutjubs, i love to quote scripture to some of the hardcore ones. Especially telling them that only 144 000 people will actually go to heaven and that the chances are really slim that any of us is getting there anyways by employing some math (2000 years of christianity should fill half of that up with popes alone, hahahaha).
There are also alot of other parts in the bible that work as cannon-fodder against the nutjobs, but you actually have to know your scripture pretty well to make it work and i havent had a bible in my household for nearly ten years, so that part of me is pretty rusty

I love the line that if your teenager rebels he should be stoned to death. Or if you cuss your parents out, you should be stoned to death. Lol.
As for buffet christians, thats what my mom is. She swears up and down she is a devout roman catholic - who happens to believe in reincarnation, that jesus was an alien etc
I told her, if you believe such things, your not really a christian, let alone a roman catholic. But nope, she says shes a roman catholic through and through....also, she swears like a trucker lol
I havent talked to her for years (some things happened between us which I choose not to mention) but she is funny when she talks about religion.
She even refuses to take communion and drink the wine because its supposed to be the blood and body of christ but she says she's no cannibal and wont take part in such a sick tradition. Thts one thing i happen to agree with her on (and me and her dont agree on 99% of things)

Hehe. Your post reminded me of something. It was a few years ago and a few of my friends and I went to a Canada day celebration at some park (they had fireworks and a carnaval and all that). We're standing there drinking and smoking joints and this guy comes up to us and starts spouting christian bullshit. So I listen for a bit. And there happened to be a muslim and indians and stuff listening and laughing as well. So I ask the guy.."what about these ppl? they are going to hell because they dont believe in Christ?"
The one guy even had one of those muslim prayer rugs with him. So after saying a buncha shit to him, tears swelled up in his eyes and he dropped his bible and ran off.
Everyone that was around started cracking up and I had tons of ppl (of numerous faiths) thanking me for getting rid of the idiot.
I mean fuck, we are there to enjoy the canada day celebration and such. Not to hear some idiot spew bullshit about christianity and try to convert ppl.
I love debating ppl like that. Especially Jehovah's...sadly tho, they dont come to my door anymore, they skip my house cause they know they are in for a long debate lol sundays were fun times when I first moved in where i live now

And I dont have a bible in my house, never ever will. I was forced to read that shit over and over in school (went to catholic school). Ironically, it was catholic school that made me not believe in christ

Canada and the US were founded by christian nutjobs man. Canada has changed alot and isnt really bad in that respect. But the US....heh, they are still stuck in their puritanical ways.
Take the US elections for example. They always add so and so is christian or whatever and that has an impact. In Canada, we could care less. Politics and religion dont mix.
Hell, id vote for a Satanist as long as he had good ideas and good policies that would improve Canada. |

My niece is 10 or 11 and she goes with her parents to their crazy evangelical church. And her mom says stupid stuff like when she doesnt want to do her homework the minute she gets home from school and wants to go play with her friends, her mom says "What would Jesus do?"
So Im trying to spend as much time with her as I can teaching her about other religions and letting her draw her own conclusions and she's starting to realise that her parents are fuckin wacko.
I dont enforce my beliefs on her, I allow her to come up with her own beliefs and she's starting to realise that christianity is bullshit.
Like she said to me the other day that if christianity is supposed to be tolerant of everyone, how come they hate homosexuals. So I pointed out some other contradictions that the bible has in it and it made her think.
I think in the next 40 or 50 years christianity (since its the main religion in the west) is gunna be fucked. Ppl are starting to realise that the bible was written to govern an old world. It has barely no applicability in todays world you know?

whenever there's a bday for one of my nephews or my niece and the family goes (both my side and my sister in laws side), all the kids run and hug me and want to play with me and stuff.
They dont even acknowledge my sister in laws brother. He's a fuckin weirdo dude. He looks like the classic pedophile. He isnt, but he looks like it and hes a cold motherfucker.
It was funny, at my nephews bday which is in the winter my niece asked me to go outside and have a snowball fight with her and her friend and her other uncle invited himself. So we are playing and she says to her friend "this is my cool uncle" (in reference to me). The other uncle (name is Jim) just stood there and said "what about me?". She's like "your not cool, you never play with me, you make me watch stupid disney movies when you babysit and you read the bible to me....raine (thats me) lets me watch whatever I want (like horror movies and action movies and stuff) and plays with me all the time". lol he just went inside and hasnt spoken to me since.
At family events, the other ppl he talks to is his own family.
Man, you'd have to meet my sister in laws family. Buncha fuckin idiots. They dont let the kids hug and kiss them, they dont play with the kids, nothing.
And I cant count how many times her grandmother (my sister in laws mom) was supposed to pick my niece up from school and like an hour later I get a call from the school from niece saying nanny didnt come pick me up can you come get me. So I do, I make her do her homework (and I help her, well, not with the french cause I dont speak french like she does, she speaks it fluently) and then we watch all the movies she's not allowed to at home because "Jesus wouldnt watch horror movies"
I swear, next time I hear my sister in law say that shit, Im gunna freak. My sister in law is a whore. Literally. I remember when she first met my brother she was doing coke and weed and booze and never considered going to church. She somehow got sucked into some evangelical church now everything she tells my niece to do is because "Jesus would do it".
Like fuck, my niece had nothing in her room besides a dresser, a table and a bed up until 2 years ago. I felt bad for her cause her mom would never let her watch cartoons or anything on tv because again, "Jesus wouldnt watch cartoons". So I took her on a shopping spree and bought her a nice 30 inch tv (not hd or anything), a stereo, a laptop (would have bought her a pc but they dont have the internet), tons of posters (so her room isnt so bland), new cool clothes (not like the clothes her mom buys her, skirts that go down to her fuckin ankles), a buncha toys she wanted, a dvd player. And whenever she wants a movie her parents wont buy her, I buy it for her.
And I went out and bought every STP, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains cd so she can listen to real music (instead of the stupid gospel shit her parents make her listen to).
I feel bad for her cause she used to get made fun of cause her parents had shit pins and buttons with "Im a good christian girl" and "Jesus Loves you" on her backpack.
I cant wait till she's a teenager. Im gunna take her out partying.

I have no problem with fundamental christianity. You know, do no harm, dont steal, dont lie, dont cheat, dont hurt ppl etc thats all good.
Its the shit the evangelicals twist to suit themselves and make money.
Its one thing if your an adult and you wanna believe in that bullshit. But dont force it on kids. Let them make up their own minds. Expose them to different ideas and such and let them draw their own conclusions.
Thats the one good thing my parents did. We went to church (i was raised roman catholic) but my parents let me read about other belief systems and stuff
And for my comfirmation in grade 8, I had to read the bible like 3 times during the school year (confirmation was at the end of the year). Thats when I saw the hypocrisy of the bible and the bullshit it contains.
Not to mention the bible is selective reading. Its not like they include all the gospels (like the Gospel of St. Thomas and the gospel of Mary Magdaline and etc).
A buncha dudes sat aroiund at the council of Nicea and decided what should be in the bible. Then it became even more retarded when King James decided to make/amend his own version.
The bible is all about power for the church, plain and simple. Its not about spirituality or finding god. Its about keeping the vatican in control.

Did you know that the King James version demonized witches. Until that version, there was nothing wrong with withces (as in medicine men, pagans/wiccans etc). It was because of his fear of witches he added that shit to the bible. If you dont believe me you can look it up. Its true.
As for my niece, I treat her like she;s my own kid. Same goes for my nephew (he's 5). My yougest nephew is like 2 so all I can do is play with him, cant teach him anything yet.
But as far as my niece goes, she looks to me to protect her and such. My brother is one of the biggest pussies around. He must get it from my moms side of the family cause my dad and i are fighters.
She knows if she ever has a problem, she can come to me and I will solve it for her.
Her mom's a vegetarian right. And she likes meet - roast beef, pork chops, ribs etc
So whenever she stays over we order kfc and I'll cook some steaks and we chow down.
I feel bad for her at Christmas time. Usually we all go to my brothers house for xmas dinner and my sister in law cooks turkey and all that kinda stuff for everyone and tons of nasty veggies for her and my niece.
So I sneak into the kitchen and grab a bunch of turkey and gravey and all the fixins then after my niece is done eating her stupid beans and carrots and all that shit, I'll take her to her room to "play". We lock the door and she chows down on the turkey and stuff.
And for the past 2 years, after they have their shitty thanksgiving dinner, she comes over to my house where I make turkey and ham and all the good stuff. And we spend the night watching horror movies and eating a proper thanksgiving dinner.
Not to mention at christmas time she's not allowed to eat chocolate or canycaines or any of the good stuff. So a couple of days before xmas she comes over and I spend like 50 bucks on candy and she feasts on it.
My brother doesnt care but he's to afraid of his wife to intervene.
Like seriously, in her stocking (xmas stocking), she gets stupid bible books and crap. So xmas afternoon she comes over and I fill her stocking with tons of candy and chocolate and give her presents she really wants....not books based on jesus and games her mother buys from the church. She makes two lists for xmas. one she gives to her mother, stuff she doesnt really want, and then a list for me and I get her what she really wants. All the cool toys she has are from me. I buy her stuff like MP3 players, good cd's, nintendo DS, I gave her my old PS2 and all my games, i get her cool clothes (not the shit her mother buys her that makes her look like she was born in the 50's), make up etc
She's a really pretty girl, gorgeous. Im not saying that cause she's my niece, she really is. If I had a picture id post it. She was offered a modeling job but "jesus wouldnt model". She's gunna be a super hottie when she grows up.
And I dont want her going back to school after xmas when all the kids are talking about they got and she says "well, I got a few bible books, jesus bed sheets" etc
I want her to go back and say "I got some awesome toys, a playstation, games, candy, money (i give her alot of money cause her parents say she can buy whatever she wants with her own money, if they approve or not...and her weekly allowance is like 5 bucks)".
So for her bday and christmas I usually give her between 100 and 200 dollars and then take her shopping (not at walmart where her cheap ass parents buy her clothes). I take her to good stores and get the sales women to help her buy cool clothes.
lol but I made one condition with her. When she reaches highschool and starts dating, she has to introduce me to ALL her boyfriends....no one is getting in her pants before she's 18. NO ONE. And Im gunna have talks with each of her boyfriends so they know...they can kiss her, hug her, put their arm around her...but no touching her tits or ass or whatever AT ALL. No fuckin way is she gunna be fucked around with by some horny teenager. I was 16 once, I know what boys that age are after and they arent gettin it from my niece. No goddamn way.
And its not like my brother is intimidating enough to scare her boyfriends. He looks and acts like a big pussy.
I treat her like my younger sister. She'll always be my girl you know? No one is ever gunna fuck with her...if they do....then they have to deal with me.

Awesome post Syco. But I think that you are giving too much to her (I mean the material things), she is still young maybe she get spoiled, really hope that she is not like the majority of kids.
You are really a good person, I hope that you will get your own child soon.
My sister is now married, she was already pregnant but she lost it in the early phase. I was really sad when I've heard that.

Naw, she's not spoiled at all. She gets nothing from her parents and I feel bad for her. its not like i buy her something every week. But on her bdays and xmas I get her what she wants....not like her parents and give her what they think she needs.
Like seriously, what 11 year old wants Jesus bedsheets for xmas? They want toys and shit. And shes not into barbies. She's into videogames and stuff.
She doesnt take anything for granted. She's a smart, good girl.
And I like spending time with her. And I know she hates disney movies. She's like horror movies and sci fi movies and stuff. So when she comes over for the day or spends the night, we have movie watching sessions. The only movies her parents let her watch are movies "approved" by their crazy cult church (which is sickening).
But aside from bdays and xmas, I rarely give her things. Occasionaly I will buy her a few cd's or a few movies or something. But nothing extravagent or anything (like a console).
Id buy her a Ps3 for xmas but my brother would take it from her and keep it for himself.
Most of the things I get her she has to hide. I helped her create a fake part in her wall where she can keep the movies and cd's i buy her.Cause if her mother saw them, she'd throw em out.
And I take her out for halloween cause her parents think halloween is the "devils holiday". She tells me what she wants to be, i get the costume, keep it at my house then say she's gunna spend the night at my house. She comes over early and we go trick or treating. I buy a few boxes of candy and we eat candy and chocolate all night watching horror movies.
Yeah man, losing a child is hard. I was so happy when my exwife got pregnant but she also lost the child. Crushed me. I cried for days. Even if she did have the kid and we still would have got divorced, I probably would have got sole custody as my exwife isnt fit to be a mother.
She used to go nuts when I bought stuff for my niece. She used to say I could have spent that money on her and bought her booze or something.
Last I heard, she's married to this bum dock worker who makes $12/h (which is shit in Canada) and is a pure drug addict/alcoholic.
Thank god we divorced. The mother of my kids is gunna be a good woman. Not some self centered drug abusing alcoholic.
I know I talk about fuckin girls and stuff but thats not what Im looking for. Im looking for either a woman I can spend the rest of my life with (kids or no) or a woman who wants kids.
Alot of women cant have kids and I wouldnt break up with a good woman because she cant have kids and I want kids. We could always adopt you know?
I cant wait to have my own little rugrat tho. I can show him stuff like star trek and stargate and tons of sci fi flicks, teach him how to play videogames, teach him baseball and martial arts and football. And when he's older, how to get the girlies.
So basically right now, Im wife hunting. But its so damn hard to find a good woman these days. And the ones you do find are taken.
By good woman I mean one who is affectionate, caring, loving, intelligent, beautiful, passionate, relatively happy, outgoing and compasionate and not self centered.
Most of the women I seem to meet are all about themselves. They are good for a fuck, but thats about it ya know?

Thinking about it now, she's the best thing in my life. I can be myself around her, she doesnt expect anything from me, she loves me unconditionally and she makes me really happy. I'd rather spend a night watching movies with her and pigging out than going out partying with my friends. For the reasons ive stated and because I enjoy it. She's a great girl and smarter than she lets on. Her parents treat her like she's 6 still but I treat her like an adult. I talk to her like an adult and such and she responds like an adult. Clever little thing.
I think she's coming over this sunday for dinner so Im gunna order some Swiss Chalet and we are gunna feast on ribs, chicken and french fries. And of course, candy. I always buy her candy cause her parents wont let her eat it cause "good christians dont eat candy".
lol its funny. She has this pendant that say something like "Christ rocks" or something. As soon as she gets to my house she takes it off and goes into her room (i keep a room for her full of toys and clothes) and she changes into "cool" clothes.
And i let her play all my videogames for my 360 and ps3. She loves MGS and the Bourne Conspiracy. those are her two fav games.

same here dude. I want a girl who takes pleasure in simple things. Not one of those broads who has to go to a club or bar every night or is always wanting me to buy her crap.

Someone who would rather stay home and have a nice dinner with a few glasses of wine and just chill, listen to some music you know.
But all the girls I meet are party animals. Always wanting to party.And they always expect me to buy them expensive gifts. I dont mind buying expensive gifts, but not if its expected of me. And if we are just sitting around watching tv, they like to watch shows about fashion and home decoration (i dont mind watching one show on home decor but not like 5 in a row). And they make fun of me cause I like sci fi...Im a nerd in their books. Pure shallow, unintelligent women.
But the thing is, I dunno where to meet the women I want.
Im thinking of going to next years sci fi convention (they hold it every year in toronto and there are lots of hot chicks and ugly guys there so Im bound to get a few numbers you know?)

perhaps you should change your search-pattern, as most people who routinely get the wrong girlfriends often just look in the wrong places or for the wrong "optics".
so,when you pick up girls at clubs, you ll end up with club-/party-girls. Or if you only look for hot dressed girls with make-up, you end up with the shallow ones.
sure, the above is an over-simplification, but i guess you get my drift.

yeah, but where do you meet the women who are into science fiction and videogames and intellectual stuff? I dont want a book worm (incase you were gunna say library).
I dont know where to meet them. If i did, i wouldnt be in the dilemma i am in ya know?
mainly im looking for a woman who I can talk to for hours and hours about anything. Most of the women I meet only talk about fashion and make up and what they do with their hair etc....shallow bitches |

well, i thought about telling you about the library in the post above already but decided against it, as it is really a cliche imho.
About 60% of all relationships are made via the work-place, so i guess alot of the women that fall into your shopping-list criteria are already spoken for, because they actually dont go out dating alot.
Apart from clubs its also harder to speak to women as it is less socially accepted to hit on them in parks, coffee-shops, supermarkets and the like, so i cant really give you an advice here, what the best way would be.
if you re into horror and sci-fi you could go to the movies more often (fantasy film fest and the like) and look in the bars in the vicinity before and after the movies as it is pretty hard to hit on women in the cinema itself

i usually go with random encounters that sometimes lead to something. And i draw a line at make-up usually to keep away the shallow types. It means less chance for pussy but more chance for a decent relationship, at least in my case.

thats what im thinking of doing. attending some sci fi conventions and such. And based on what ive seen on tv, id be the hottest guy there. I watched the recent sci fi convention on tv (the toronto one) this year and I didnt see one attractive guy. Pure nerds. But tons of hot women.
So I think Im gunna check out a few and see if i can score me a sci fi girlie.
Someone who actually says to me "Lets watch Star Trek" or "Lets watch Stargate" ya know?
