|
 |
.....the other day. I was just picking up some shopping and I strained my back.
Anyway that's not the problem.
The problem is is that the doctor gave me Codeine Phosphate to releave the pain. Now I'm having unbelieveable nightmares.
So frightening because they're waking nightmares where I have a nightmare and I wake up and they continue because I'm really still asleep.
I've had two hours sleep because when I really awake I have to get up to make sure I'm really awake.
I've not had nightmares in years.
It's so weird.

It's so weird. Because the first dream I was certain I was awake.
What happened is I was with a film crew and we went into an old school, the sort that is an orphanage in Russia. It had been closed down (I presume) because of abuse. Anyway it was nearly pitch black except for light shining through slats on the windows.
We came across a body of a woman with short hair. No one gave a shit although I don't know why.
Anyway the crew heard a noise and the rushed out with me following them. I went back in and that's when I woke up or so I thought. I was lying in bed and I heard a cry or a moan of an unearthly noise and I really woke up.
Tonight I was being dragged out of bed covers and all to the bedroom door and again I woke up, only to be dragged out of bed again by some unseen force out of the bedroom and down the passage. It's so weird the waking up and still being asleep.

Nightmares isn't listed as possible side effects on wiki. I cba to look elsewhere. How many nightmares did you have? Usually, I find that if I have a nightmare in a night and I wake up, I usually either can't get back to sleep or when I do, I have another nightmare.

Whats codeine phosphate? ive been on every painkiller you can imagine and Ive never heard of it.
Ask your doc to switch painkillers. Take tylenol 3. Its like tylenol with codeine, but not much. It also has aceteminophin in it and caffeine.
And Im assuming you dont have a high tolerance for drugs, so t3 should work just fine for you.
I dunno what the phosphate means, but I bet thats the problem. Cause I take t3's (codeine) and oxycontin (high concentrated condeine and its all codeine, actually its codone, but same thing) and I have never had nightmares from it.
The only time i have nightmares is when I sleep for like 2 hours and feel like I wanna go back to sleep but Im agitated (because I got little sleep) and have to force myself to sleep. Then I have fucked up dreams.
But if i take 4 t3's and 2 oxy's, I sleep like a baby (if I do sleep).

hmmm, codeine phosphate is the brand name? you guys have some weird generic names for drugs in merry ol england. Id be like calling OxyContin hydrocodone (which is the name, OxyContin is the brand name).
Dont you have brand names for your medication? In Canada, even our generic drugs have brand names

Reminds me of a documentary I saw about alien kidnappings in the USA, turns out these people have some sort of condition (I forgot the name) when they are sure they are awake and getting kidnapped, beamed to the ship then probed etc. but in fact they are dreaming but are awake and paralyzed at the same time, they can't move a limb or anything, unlike you when they awake they think that stuff happened for real, like if they take a polygraph it would turn out they are not lying, and of course it's kind of traumatic because it's hard to convince them otherwise.
It's interesting when comparing that same condition in Japan where people don't get kidnapped by aliens, which is the American folklore, they see stuff from their own folklore like they lie paralyzed in their beds and there is this girl standing by the bed, think of the one from The Ring, just starring and waiving with this old lamp like some drunken lighthouse keeper, creepy. Both could be the result of drug abuse like anti-depressives and such especially in the USA.

I tell you I was utterly convinced that I was awake after being dragged from the bed. Only for it to happen again. The previous dream when I came out of the school and woke up and heard a noise I can only describe as a demon moaning I'm sure I was awake. I jumped up and switched the lights on. Absolutely terrifying. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up.
I mean I'm not a little girl anymore, I still had to switch the lights on to go into the kitchen. Then I went on to the computer to make sure I was awake.

Last time I had a nightmare was a few months back, was the weirdest and scariest shit in my entire life, I know I had been screaming in my sleep, and I sure as hell was screaming when I woke up from my dream. On my body were millions of african fire-ants, the little red buggers and they were eating me alive and all I could do was just lay there:(

Why in the name of Jesus are you talking about lucid dreams that's when you are aware you are dreaming, this is the exact opposite of a lucid dream.

I once had a lucid dream I was masturbating for hours on end, and I was coming about once every 5 minutes, it was like my willy couldn't stop spurting. When I woke up there was semen on my pillow, bedlinnen, on the wall, on the doorknob, on my desk, on my chest, against the curtains, on the ground, and yeah few other places. So was asking myself, was this really a dream or did I really spurt semen like a firehose, and if so is that at all possible?

Yeah but I have met women who in fact spurt like a firehose, and I'm not talking about urinating, so that day may still come for you Jenni, you just gotta pop some more pills and focus a bit more, try and control your dreams, thats where the secret lies.
