i tried to learn finnish a while back, which is kinda similar to estonian (the finno-ugrish languages) but i didnt succed in really learning it, as its hard to learn with a more central-european background.
so, how hard was it for you to learn english?

yeah, these finno-ugric languages are quite hard to the West:p
if i recall estonia has most nouns and adjectives in any languages: 14
i cant remember how hard english was to me, i started to watch television (english movies) as i was a little boy, then i moved over to computer world, etc.. thats how i understand it (to some extent)
ps. i can understand english much better when hearing it (i suppose it's the case with most of non-english speakers)

yeah fuck, had to talk a lot english at Roskilde. Those fucking danes are impossible to understand when they are drunk. Swedes are no problem tho.

i also learned alot of my early english from playing computer games (the early adventures from lucas arts for example). Alas there was only very few english tv series and movies on german tv, as they dub the shit out of everything (nowadays even more than back then), but even then i loved to watch un-dubbed stuff much more. Its strange that people prefer the dubbed versions...
