Morningstar published a general article covering multiplatform trends that features a quote from a Konami public relations representative that should fuel rumors for months to come. The rep is quoted as saying, regarding MGS4, "We're actively looking into a release for the Xbox 360." While this isn't a confirmation of it coming, it does lend hope to those Xbox 360 owners who haven't plunked down money on a PS3.
However, this little quote doesn't clear the major hurdle Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has listed for the title coming to Xbox 360. He has been quoted in several interviews saying a port was likely impossible due to the game being optimized for the PS3 hardware, specifically Blu-ray discs.
IGN has contacted Konami's US representatives for a comment and is awaiting a response. The original Morningstar report can be found here. |

Just release it for the pc, that baby is super-optimized for hdd  look at all the iso's thinking they are being read by a laser while in fact they are run from a hard drive + daemon tools.

i think someone translated it wrong. konami said, say looking into it in the feature to create multiplatform titles. sony owns the rights on mgs4 so no (!) port for the 360 will be ever rlsed.

Sony Has no Right on MGS 4
It's belong to Kojima Productions and Konami and they can do with it what they want.

I did buy a PS3 for this. Although, now with LBP and stuff coming out, MGS4 won't be the only good exclusive.

Its not coming to 360 simple as that.. Its a deasent game. 7 out of 10 on my harsh o meter. But it could have simply been a 10 if they put some replay value in it like dog tags from 3. Play it once put it away the end. Nice GFX nice play. Nice controls but after 1 play thru pointless to touch again.
p.s. the 360 could not handle it. its specifically made for ps3 Cell and GFX HW so if u put it on 360 it will either decrease in draw distance so u cant see poeple shooting at you or it will just be MGS3 at 720p. Which is not a bad idea Hideo you twat.
