well, comedians often exaggerate to make a point. Some may also get lost in the translation in this case. I havent noticed blatant mistakes or "lies" though, care to point them out? |

well, since they sold weapons to iraq since at least 1982 they didnt really go out of their way being against it. And playing off of that for comedic effect is ok in my books. Especially since the u.s. had strong relations with the shah regime and even tried helped him into power...

They sold weapons to the Iraqis, along with top secret satellite intel. But so did the French along with a variety of other countries, as well as the Russians. However to say those countries instigated the war is incorrect.

he says something about the planning of iraq done by Alan Greenspan...? ok.....
Greenspan deals with economics and has for 40 years.
There are a bunch of mistakes and not to offend you, but you have to know a fair deal about the US, both past and present and I do.
I know alot of American history, especially when it comes to politics. Ive followed American and Canadian politics since I was a kid.
And I studied (by myself, not school) American history. And obviously, I know a ton about Canadian history and our history intermix in certain places.
Btw, we kicked the US' ass in the war of 1812!  lol |

i dont recall that particular one (and cant be arsed to watch it again) but i d assume that it was meant as a joke (overexageration / comparison / metaphor). With alot of his jokes he doesnt go into detail anyways, but just puts his finger on a certain nerve (often hits, sometimes misses).
So to sum it up: if you cant laugh about it, you must be a fascist american, hahahahaha
lets just agree to disagree on the funnyness of the guy (comedy doesnt work well in subtitles anyways...)

Political Cabaret fits him better.
