According to Threshold, filming will start late October to early November in Australia and China. It's now called MK: Devastation and the director Russell Mulcahy (highlander) has said to be signed on for a fourth MK film.
Threshold is aiming to completely forget Mortal Kombat: Annihilation due to poor attitude surrounding it, and instead sort of have MK: Devastation be bet the sequel to the first MK movie. Not only that, but a fourth one is supposed play off MK: D.

Sounds very cool, hopefully it'll be on pars with MK

there was a mortal kombat 3 movie?
I enjoyed MK1 quite a bit. #2 was alright (for a couple of hours of entertainment, at least).
Jet Li would really be interesting.
