Hi I am wondering can the dark knight pal from thecrown be upconverted to 1080p on a up converting dvd player? Or is it not possible because which ever group that did the movie did something to it so you cant upconvert it or does it depend on the movie ? I hope someone can help me thanks.

Do you mean the DVDR release? If yes, then it can be upconverted, of course. There is nothing anyone can do to somehow disable upconverting. It should be said though, that because the DVDR release is a DVD9 turned into DVD5, you will probably notice the lower bitrate in the upconvert more so than watching it on a regular TV.

Why not just get the 1080 release? simpler and probably functions alot better...
thats my opinion anyway...
