I'm getting an error when i try to install the update patch that says "no valid version of older file found, but a file with the same name exists".
However the RLD release didn't have a patch associated with it, unless it was strapped into the install (dumb)
Does anyone know if this is a problem associated with a rls, or with something else? I have 100% files from my install.
If it's strapped in the install like I mentioned, does anyone know where I could procure the original ?

yeah, the RLD release had the crack put on the disc because the protection resides in the launcher exe.
But the patch still patches the other files, apart from the launcher, so everything should be fine, even though you get that message

Yes, now your fallout3.exe should be 1.0.0.15 , which is the new version. Doesn't matter (for now) that you have the old launcher
