Pioneer also had a very own 360 soundkit...it was awsome and cheap. You should look that one up.

deelix wrote: | Thanks, exactly something like that I as looking for. Such cute little speakers too. Without any extreme bass good sound doesn't really need to take that much space
Anyway found it for a good price at a netshop on my way home. So unless someone else find something better ill order and pick it up on my way hope. Really wanted to Dead Space with some proper sound I want to be scared damnit Fear, Doom 3 and Condemned (2) just didn't do it for me :\ Hope this helps |
If the game uses proper 5.1 audio, these speakers do a god damn good job at utilizing it. I played FEAR on them and creeped me the hell out.
The best so far was using them in timeshift. Best 5.1 game I've played so far. Two speakers behind me, hearing bullets ping off the walls and crap, people running up behind me yelling, I actually turned around a couple times to look at a blank wall causes the voices sounded so real.

Looks like overkill for just a video game system.
Anywho, the only bad thing about using external sounds like this is the cords aren't really made for stretching, the 3 wires are fused at the neck so you only get so much space.
I bought the VGA adapter and the video cord is completely separate from the audio cords making it nice to have my 360 chilling on my computer with the cords going behind.

I have my PC and 360 hooked up to that. Great fucking system, the 5.1 really brings games out, far from weak too. |
Got that as well. Does the job very well, good bass.

I don't see how you can get 5.1 on a G51 with the X360 since it has to be hooked with an optical digital wire on a decoder, and the G51 lacks both...
The Z-5500 however has an optical and a coaxial digital inputs and a DD/DTS audio decoder.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the optical connection with a 5.1 decoder is TEH only way to output 5.1 on a 360.

No you are correct. i looked into 5.1 a while ago, the only 5.1 output from the 360 is through the optical cable connection.

I have the Logitech Z-5500's in my office.
They sound really good for the price and it has all the proper connections you need (optical/coaxial) so it goes good with my PC/360 setup.

Yeah logitech point blank mother-fucker....
I used to be a big time HiFi nut and had my consoles hooked up to Naim shit which costs a fortune....
Went round to my cousins house who had his 360 jacked in to a 5500 THX badass and it kicked my equipments ass for a fraction of the price...

Yeah I was pissed that I couldn't have HDMI on my 360 and no optical out for 5.1 , like I have on my PS3 .... but then found that composite cables are just as good as HDMI, and with the composite cable you get an optical out so you can get 5.1 ...... Seems in this day and age of most homes having home theaters it was strange of Microsoft not to include an Optical Out on the console
