get more of the same food and eat it while sitting down. that way it can only fall on you, so it's no biggie stuffing it back in your mouth. and you don't have to change your open-mouth chewing habits.
also keeping your mouth closed while chewing is lame. real men don't roll that way.

It was some pasta.
I had my mouth open because it was still hot damnit.
When it fell out it made it all the way to the floor.
Carpeted floor negates 5 second rule. This carpet is like 10,000 years old, not eating a damn thing that touches this carpet.

But I hate it. I hate the whole burning out thing. It's not worth it at all. Just like any other drug. Coming down from anything is such a horrible drag. Alcohol is like the best possible drug out there. You drink as much as you want. Drink water. Wake up nice and refreshed. And if you're lucky, you didn't bring home a fat elephant. THat's the only big side effect from drinking. ELEPHANTS.

Alcohol doesn't have a comedown. never felt one. Drinking from 6pm till 2am almost tri-weekly and then there are slight occasions when i drink from 7 pm till 9pm. Never had a comedown. I just get drunk, wait until the room stop spinning and then go to sleep on my own terms. Pot doesn't give you your own terms. You get high, get home, and you lay down for a slight bit and wake up an hour or three later realizing you wasted half the day day dreaming. It's good at night, when you just want to finish off the day drinking with a nice joint and go ape shit when you get home. Though I'm an insomniac. My friend and I got high like three times since Saturday. he wanted to smoke some today but I said no.  Instead I'm at home cleaning.
And yeah I am racist against elephants. Ran into many of them Rude. Obnoxious. Smelly and really lousy fucks. So it's bad. Though luckily I never brought an elephant home. I usually follow them.
