Mozbackup is an even better idea. That app is pure gold. It saves even extensions.
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 - ASUS P5Q-PRO - Mushkin XP2-6400 4GB - Gainward HD4850 Golden Sample - WD 3200AAKS (managed to fry this one, ffs) + WD 6400AAKS - Thermaltake 550W PSU - Thermaltake Soprano VX case

yeah, go with mozbackup. Because if you change ff version as well, when changing systems you re out of luck (or you install the older version first and upgrade from there, but mozbackup saves you all the hassle and works also with thunderbird profiles =) )

He wants to migrate from FF 2 to 3. That's why he isn't sure it's gonna work I think.

I still prefer FEBE because it's quick and simple.
After setting it up it just takes 1 click: Tools -> FEBE -> Perform Backup

something like that . i allready had ff3 installed when it got released but by that was it wasn't that good and i went back to ff2. then yesterday i decided to install ff3 again and let it import (again) the bookmarks from ff2. of course, that never happened. it happens only 1 time. anyway, 10x for your ideas guys.... i knew this is the right place to ask
anyway, the good thing is i only have to save about 10 sites form A LOT (think about 50)
