I love Arthurian legend, but I doubt some amateur dev. studio is going to be able to match the likes of Creative Assembly and its Total War series.

Cheers for the heads up SpykeZ. Looks pretty cool. Total War meets Lord of the Ring. But I guess I will be busy playing Empire TW in 2009 Wink.

I'd call it old-school sweetness, I second that remark. Unfortunately I also have to say -- you can't match TW's dominance. However, with lower expectations and an open mind it could be enjoyable.

Yeah, and it didn't matter what the PC specs were or how much RAM you had... Probably an engine bug.

Honestly the cover looks like The Prince of Persia stole the Overlord's armor and posed for the cover.

Even more screens, this one features oddly spiky plate mail and weapons.

(There are others though showing different factions and units and even the map and overview, I'm just having fun at the design choice of said armor, this looks pretty realistic for example - http://www.ag.ru/screenshots/king_arthur/310927#show .)

EDIT: Arthur?

EDIT: Probably overused that site by now but it's pretty good. Razz
(High-level moose anyone? - http://www.ag.ru/screenshots/craft_of_gods/310454#show - random Russian RPG)

I also immediately thought of the PoP: Warrior Within cover:

Looks great. I've always wanted a game that puts some kickass magic into total war style gameplay. the roleplaying elements for the heroes also look like fun.

Brings back memories of Warhammer: Dark Omen (althought that was just the realtime battles without empire building)

Just wonder how they're balancing the spells (cooldowns maybe?), the way they presented them in the video, you could just say "screw tactics, let's spam the enemy with lightning!" Laughing

But yeah, looking great.
