Posted: Tue, 21st Oct 2008 15:22 Post subject: Sleeve tattoo - first session |
|
 |
So, as i originally posted, i was going to start my sleeve in November - but a reschedule ment that i got to start a little earlier.
So im now done with the outlines. So its all just a lot of black lines, you cant really see what its goin to look like unless you know exactly what to look for.
All i can say - extreme pain.
I didn't sleep alot the night before and had to get up really early since the studio is 3½ hours away. And lack of sleep is NOT good for the pain threshold. And in very skinny. My skin is veery thin.
I cannot describe the pain i felt when he went over my elbow, the inside of the elbow, the area around the armpit.. I mean, i've felt pain before and consider myself to be kinda good at handling it. But this, this was different. Fucking shit fuck it hurt! And that went on for at least 3½ hours. I was beat at the end, i promise you that.
This pic shows when i was just under halfway done.
Just all lines
Next time, November sometime, we'll start shadowing and adding color, CAN'T WAIT, its going to look so freakin' awesome!

It looks wicked I could have tattoo on my body, but not that big, you must really be into tattoos to do sth of that magnitude. I hope in the end it will look as you wish, you'll have to post pics

If it was something you really wanted and loved then I am sure you could. It would mean something to you.

I just see it as something one would grow out of as they get older. I know plenty of people who regret their tatoos but just as many love them to death.

i have actually never met anyone who regretted getting a tattoo, just people saying that one might to talk others out of it. It s like the common prejudice-argument against tattoos for worried parents really.
i dont have any though, so i m not the best guy to talk about tattoos either. Love the pic though, could end up looking really great =)

Some do, and some don't. If they really knew themselves at an early age I think they would be pretty comfortable with their choice of tattoo. It would always be a memory of their earlier life and if they were happy with that, then I think they would be happy with the tattoo.
I change my mind way too much. So no tattoo for me.

I mean 90% of the things we do are culturally/socially influenced and things change constantly. I can understand if the artwork is emotionally valuable or represents something extremely important but Im talking about the average tatoo here. |
I think some people are ok with who their were in their youth. Some people I met who had early tat's said I don't like them now but they are a real part of me. It was who I was. In a sence they are still happy with them, even tho they may not represent who they are today.
I don't have any. I don't think I will altho I flirt with the idea all the time.
