that not bioware will be involved
since they are now own by EA that compete
against, Atari.
so I said Obsidian Entertainment
or even better-
CD Projekt RED STUDIO.
they both working with Atari in Publishing deals...

normally those things mean trying to earn money by giving licence to some cheap studio and hoping fans of the franchise will still buy it

look at the games now... cheap ass pretty looking dumbed down piles of poo that sell... Baldurs gate is about STORY, quality, characters and surprisingly difficult combat that would fail at the market right now but would probably still be AWESOMESAUCE!. im 100% sure they will make some dumbed down action hack-n-slash game just to earn some moneys.

i also hope for a single player game, but atari is one step away from declaring bancruptcy - so a cash cow mmo based on an excellent franchise would be the only logical choice

just because atari owns the D&D license doesn't mean they own the baldur's gate license. This came up when they made dark alliance 2, they dropped the D&D name.
