1) Get some decent video editing software which really shines at deleting backgrounds.
2) Film bubbles of air in the water, try to isolate a single strain of them. Copy that strain a couple times slightly shifted, make it go into reverse every 3 seconds. Pros might also work with oil instead of water.
3) Film someone touching falling water with a finger (ask your kitchen sink for details). Again, eliminate the background.
4) Add some strobing lights for the mystery effect aka diverting attraction from the bubbles changing direction.
5) Mix it all and add a male Pailin talking about turkeys.
6) You're done. Broadcast it on youtube to become really really famous.
you can buy it. but buy the good ones. get 6 hoses. line them up. control the flow of water and the speed of the strobe. Get any effect you want. we did this and got this one guy get a siezure.
you have to play around with it.
you can get shitload of diff effects.
If you can program strobe lights im pretty sure you can do little waves of water falling down. or appear like falling down. or rising up.
You just have to play with it to get the exact effect they did.
Previous answers are epic failures considering it says everywhere (from Cox's post to Youtube comments that it's about strobe light).

uh dude, they really did do this (or something similar) on mythbusters with a certain type of gas.
They filled a fish tank with the gas, made a tinfoil or paper boat, got it float, dipped a cup into the gas in the tank (the gas is completey translucent, cant see it at al) and poured it into/onto the boat and it sank.
Fuckin cool stuff.

I see that i am in error for stating (in my previous post) that explanations beyond video postings might exist, so i hereby apology for this error to everyone possibly affected by it.
But i am at least delighted that no serious harm has been done by these actions of mine, as i see the virtual wall against realism still standing firm and hard on the internet.
In case you have no clue what i am talking about, let me summarize my plot so far for the easy minded upon us: "You're a fucking band of stereotypical rapists and racists, and should i ever manage to get a hold on one of you in the real world you surely won't have to suffer for a long time".
