Still can't get this piece of crap working. I am using the launcher but it crashes after the RockStar Logo.

Server 08
QX6700
8800GT 640MB
180.48 drivers
4GB RAM
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum

Just buy the game and it will work fine. Or if not, just check the PC Games thread about this....tons of different methods.

probably not a crack issue
i was running 2003 server (not 2008) and had the same problem
the two R* logos and gta4 logo come up fine and then it crashes (tried several cracks - fedor wasn't out yet)
my windows was broken anyway so i reinstalled (xp now) and reran with still the same crack (old, bad crack) and then the game launched fine
i got the drunk vision pretty soon but atleast it started

anyone else reporting server OS trouble with it?
