INTEL Dual Core 1.6 ghz
Intel X3100 Integrated video
2 gigs of ram
Vista Ultimate 32 bits but will switch for Win 7 32 bits latest build tomorrow

I need a game that's going to run well and also fun. Currently looking mostly at adventure games in the Syberia , Still life genre ect but it can be anything really. Does not need to be recent but not too old either (lets say 2003 and above).

I'm working as a security guard and i need something to pass time because its so fucking boring. Currently playing Monopoly 2008 but im starting to get bored.

Recommend away

My friend did night time security work for a while, he was under the same opinion it was a boring as hell job... sort of job a guy close too retirement would perhaps enjoy.
(no offence S.S.S!).

Something like Civilization might help pass the time. Personally I would go for football manager but then if your from the states I doubt that would interest you. The Longest Journey was a good adventure.

Dude

My current contrAct is with a food company. I work on a night shift in one of their plant which is like 30 miles away from the city. There is nothing of value here other than canned food and machinery so it's not like there is a horde of robbers waiting in line to break in Laughing. For some reasons they still hire a guard in every of their plants and i make 550$ per week for doing it so i won't complain.

The only problem is boredom. I'm siting in my cubicle with nothing but a radiio and my laptop. I do my run every 30-45 mins or so but since it takes about 5 minutes to do so , i'm back in my boring cubicle in no time. That's why i need a good game to pass time. And at least i don't sleep. Hell , sometimes i wish somw guy would break in so that i can see some action.

You must never have worked as a security guy if you think i'm the worst SG ever Laughing

Btw rhanx or the suggestions guys. Keep em coming !!

Insurance purposes or something perhaps.

Anyway I would recommend getting some emulators (NES/SNES/N64) as there's a shit load of games that you can flit between. It's what I do when I use my laptop away from home.

I waited a long time for my beta key..finally got it...played it a little bit over 2 days and forgot about it. EA has done such a piss poor job of ripping off their business interests model in Korea that it isn't even funny. Neowiz has a very long history of making this kind of game with this kind of business model. It seems like EA was like "So what if we made a significant investment in them and release several of our games through them in Korea. Let's just do it our own way with no regards for how they've done things!!!!!11"

(or, depending on taste: Trials 2, the original Ghost Recon games, Peggle Nights, any Civilization game...)

The problem here is that you think like a hardcore player. This game isen't intended for guys who have played fps for the last 10 years. It's more intended for the casual player. The hint that you can run this game on old pc's was from the start a hint that they where aiming at the casual player.

I never asked but that would make sense. There are no cameras and only a piss poor movement detection alarm system that don't even cover the whole building. Wouldn't surprise me if the insurance company asked them to hire a security guard.

And i don;t really want to go the emulator route. Used to have a SNES with many games and i don't know...i just don't feel like going back to that or other consoles of that generation. Razz

As i said in my first post i'm thiinking mostly about poin and click adventures/puizzle game like Syberia ect.

What about Culpa Inata ? I have heard good things about it.

There is also Dreamfall : The Longest Journey that may interest me although i have geard that the story is a bit boring and emo Embarassed

I don't have the net so no Guild Wars. I actually have the game and got bored of it like 2 years ago after grinding the UW for Ectoplasm with a Monk and a Necro. Never tried to expension and don;t intend to. Will wait for GW 2 instead.

As for the Lego games , i never thought about that but i may take a look into them. It won't be my first priority though but more like a plan B Razz
