I hva ethese folders wich contain movie files, so I get these thumbnails, like a preview....
But since last week it isn't working anymore. If I download a new moviefile, it just shows a WMV or MPEG icon...
Only thing I did was installing gta4....

Anybody got any ideas?

I have a vista 64bit codec pack installed allong with avirecomp, wich uses the xvid codec

Its nothing to do with your codec pack, its prob more to do with a service you have terminated from auto starting, I also had this but I did it on purpose when streamlining vista services.

i cant for the life of me remember what exactly it was but more than likely to do with shadow cache/search facilities/ etc etc I remember it telling me or reading somewhere when doing so that it would stop me seeing thumbnails etc if i was to stop the service..

yeah, but the older videofiles still show thumbs....
is that normal then?

I found someone with a similar problem and he fixed it using this

in the start command type: regsvr32 shmedia.dl

but if I do that I get a cannot find module

what now
