Can't say I'm excited as it looks to be a very sterile experience from what I've seen, heard and read - but it's still an interesting concept to work with if they expand upon it in the future.

Well, it says ALL PLAYSTATION 3 Users, so I'm guessing it's worldwide.
Edit: Just read through it a bit more. It will be available to everyone, except for some regions, doesn't say which.

I like the social aspect of these persistent online worlds and I always wished there would be something free. I am glad the Home does it. If they can realize even half of what they promised in terms on online game rooms, malls, stores, etc..I can see myself spending a lot of time there just hanging out.

I had my doubts but this is actually a really nice app, not to mention an advertisers wet dream thanks to the attached novelty value. Graphics aren't amazing, but they are nice to look at and the GUI is both intuitive and clean.
I like how when you play pool (for example) - which is a simple Yahoo! Games type rendition - you can still hear the background noise. It adds to the illusion of being in a busy place, further cemented by sometimes having to wait for your turn.
I've only faffed about so far, but there's a lot of potential here - particularly in regards to online gaming and especially if the game developers start picking it up and implementing their titles directly. I only hope that the developers see the benefit and Sony continues to improve upon it.

Right now there isn't much of an incentive beyond socialising or the novelty value of teaming up with people from your friends list in a 3D environment. This is especially the case for Europeans as I believe some of the (third party) content has actually been held back.
But the potential for Home in the future is something to get excited about.
I don't know if you're in a NHL or FIFA club for example, but organising games directly from Home and launching into the multiplayer component without having to faff around their convoluted menu screens would be a breath of fresh air.
...but aside from that, Home is basically a 3D chat client with voice support. I'm not sure what some people were expecting to have been disappointed.

I just try'd home for about an hour and i like it a lot, its done well and it has a nice atmosphere.
You can bowl, play checkers. pool, play arcade games and watch trailers. Its a nice addition to your playstation 3 and its understandable why they made this, micropayments.
If they would implement this with party support and organizing party's into games it would be even better.

There is no "held back" content. There's just not a lot of stuff on Home right now. Most likely they are just stress testing things. I can imagine in a few weeks or when its out of "Open Beta" - that there will be an explosion of new content.

Not really about Home, but does the PS3 support voice chat while playing a game yet? I mean like the 360s private chat.
