So basically I bought a launch PS2. When the Xbox came out I got rid of my PS2 and bought an Xbox (for whatever reason I don't remember). I recently came back upon the exact PS2 I got rid of. So yah, I've been out of the PS2 scene since then, so I don't know shit about it.
What is the easiest and latest and greatest for the PS2? From my limited understanding of various solutions, it seems like the Memor32 card showed promise at one point, but it is now dead? Is there something better/easier?

i used HDAdvance and, although compatibility was only 80-85% it seemed the most simple solution to me.

Man.. such ridiculous efforts trying to get into this thing with my limited resources. ;P
I remembered my brother had an old copy of Swap Magic (Swap Magic 2.00) laying around, and I managed to find the DVD version of it. But then I realized I couldn't find the slide tool or whatever, so I had to google the slide card specs/dimensions and cut out my own from an old gift card, haha...
Then I tried to follow a few guides to install free mcboot on one of my mem cards, but they mention 3.6/3.8 Swap Magic because it can load the usb mem stick...
So then I tried to burn the DVD version of Swap Magic 3.6 and swap into is using my old version 2.00, but that wasn't happening.
Then I tried to follow the burned disc tutorial (http://www.bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/CD_installing_1.7.html), but I had to try and burn that as a DVD and not a CD, since I only have DVD version of Swap Magic 2.00, but I couldn't get that to run either...
Back to the drawing board I guess, at least I am proud of my home-made slide tool, even though anyone could do it. ;P

Heh, I do own one of the original PS3 60GB machines, and it plays a bunch of PS2 games pretty well. But I need my options... you know.. open more.
I gave up and just ordered the SwapMagic 3.8 disc. ;P
