I got invited to a poker night that some of my friends hold, and I'll be damned if I'm going to lose to those dorks (I mean didn't the poker craze come and go already? pfft Very Happy)

So I guess I could do with some training beforehand - I mean I know the rules and all, but I never really was into the game so my strategy as a whole is completely reckless betting then bitching afterwards how my cards were shit. Laughing

If you know of any decent poker games for the PC (bonus if it somehow presents some of the more advanced strategies - no idea if such a game exists tho), that'd be just dandy.

not sure how many advanced strategies you gonna learn from it, because i didn't play it, but the game should give you some tips, at least.

Try both Stacked with Daniel Negreanu and World Series of Poker 2008.The first one gives you a balanced game.The second one has much more agressive players and is overall more difficult.In both games surely you'll learn some tactics and strategies to become competitive against your friends.Also Stacked has decent online play.

Play PKR online against human opponents with play money. It's all in 3D.

I also think fisk should be unbanned.

Even better is to play freerolls imo, playmoney games tend to be very little poker, its more of a all in game for most ppl.

If you manage to survive the first 30 min in some of the bigger freerolls ( 3000 players + ) there will be more to learn there.

But its takes time to learn good strategys Smile It wont take a few min, it will take months to just get the basics. But it might give you an edge over your friends after only a few games online.
