Thanks for the heads up.
I'm 30 mins into part 2 and I love it.
It also brought me to read up on the American Revolution, since europeans are usually quite ignorant towards that matter.

PS: Also, I didn't know Bob Dylan is John Adams son... Wink

Got trough the 3rd part yesterday. I really like it. Get a totally different feel of how things unraveled then what you get tought in history class.

You dismiss an opportunity for learning and cultural experience because you are vain about the age of estate?

You are a fool.

I also think fisk should be unbanned.

Never cared for it and I've seen enough episodes to determine that. Always on tv...least one episode a freakin day. Dunno when the new eps are played.
Not a fan.

Remember, American History is vastly different than actual history. Thats not a shot at Americans, rather those who write the facts. I take everything with a grain of salt when it comes to American History man.

Cause you can read one book that says one thing and another that says something else, and both are deemed accurate.

Ask any American and they will say they won WW2 all by themselves....Rolling Eyes A good example of American History and actual history being different.

But your a smart dude, I'm sure you realize this.

Now I sincerely doubt you've watched this. It is hardly glorifying the U.S.

He says it best himself in episode 7:

"It is a perception in Europe, that nothing is so false as modern history... I would say that there is nothing so false as European history except American history. In plain English: I consider the true history of the American revolution as lost."

How is that something specific to American History?

I am an American... and I would not say that. So, you obviously couldn't ask ANY American and get that answer. . .

Not ALL Americans. Obviously dude. But quite alot of American's don't recognize the contributions of the rest of allies.
Even members of my own family...I have a cousin in Cali who thought we (we being her Canadian family) were Asians because they have a lot of Asians in Vancouver.

So no dude, not every American, but a lot. I'm sure you see the same things on TV as I do.

@Dom

I didn't say it was glorifying the US did I? And yes, I saw it long ago when it first debuted. Watched a bunch of episodes, gave it a chance, disliked it.

The American history thing was speaking generally, not just about this series.

Good show, though a bit slow. The French court is so gay, it's unbelievable Laughing . Such shows really show how the beauty standards change over time.
