Quote:
The Rocker tells the story of a failed drummer who is given a second chance at fame. Robert "Fish" Fishman is the extremely dedicated and astoundingly passionate drummer for the eighties hair band Vesuvius, who is living the rock n' roll dream until he is unceremoniously kicked out of the band. Twenty years after his rock star fantasies are destroyed, just when Fish has finally given up all hope, he hears that his nephew's high school rock band A.D.D. is looking for a new drummer. They reluctantly make him the newest member of the band, giving him a chance to reclaim the rock God throne he's always thought he deserved, and taking the young band along for the ride of their lives.

IMDB

This film stars "Rainn Wilson" aka "Dwight Schrute" from "The Office (US)"

I loved it cause I used to play in a band that did Radio/TV stuff + a record...well way back, but I recognize my self so much in this film...and the music ain't that bad actually, at least not for being a hollywood flick...I actually shed a tear now and then cause it really brought me back.

I give it a 7/10 as a film, but more like a 9/10 cause of the memories.

I was in a band as well but we did mostly cover songs back in 1994-1997.
Toured a lot of the south eastern USA. Did all rock ranging from Nirvana, Pearl Jam, to Megadeath and Mettallica.
And I can relate to this movie just like Captain talks about.
It puts it higher in my book for that as well.
7.5/10

Wow. I did this stuff like pre 1985. I guess the only one that has any records of this is my Mum...in her scrap book. I did some stuff like a year or so ago using Sonar and what have you
LINK
Still plays the bass now and then(Fender Jazz Base/ Fretless Yamaha). I like jazz/funk etc...but back then we played "new wave/pop"

The stuff I uploaded is a mishmash of different stuff I did for fun...sorta Smile...and it's sorta bass influenced Wink.
