I just want to know if this works the same way importing Rock Band 1 tracks into Rock Band 2 where even if you have the disc, you have to pay like $5 to do the import. Does the same apply to this RB2 track pack?

to answer your question, the track pack comes with a unique code to export to RB2, you can't pay to do it so you have to buy it if you want to export.
