Yes artwork looks good on the screenshots. But watch a gameplay of this or the prequel Chains Of Satinav.
The motions only consist of like 2 frames

Memoria-RELOADED
Memoria (c) Daedalic Entertainment
08/2013: RELEASE.DATE .. PROTECTION: Steam
1: DISC(S) .. GAME.TYPE: Adventure
Two stories, two main characters, one epic experience: in Memoria, players
travel through different time periods, while following two distinct
protagonists: Sadja, a southern princess who wants to be a war hero, and
Geron, a bird catcher who wants to lift a curse from his girlfriend. The
game combines point & click gameplay with unique magic skills
Sadja, a Southern princess, has an unstoppable desire to become the greatest
hero in history - by joining and succeeding in the biggest war Aventuria has
ever seen: The war of the Mages, fought in the middle of an uninhabitable
desert
Bird catcher Geron lives almost 450 years after the Great War. Geron's
eternal love, Nuri, has been turned into a crow by an evil curse. To give
her back her human form, Geron needs the help of the mysterious merchant
Fahi, who has magical powers. But Fahi is only willing to help Geron if he
agrees to solve a puzzle which Fahi has seen in his dreams. The quest for
answers soon leads to a chain of events that connects both Sadja's and
Geron's stories, threatening to turn the present into a grim reflection of a
long forgotten past
Memoria combines classic point & click adventure gameplay with the features
of The Dark Eye, one of the most successful RPG universes known in the
fantasy world. Point & click adventure game puzzles get a unique twist by
adding magical features - and a wise, talking staff. Over eight chapters
players control both Sadja's and Geron's fates, involuntarily interacting
with each other and bridging over 500 years of time. Each chapter in Memoria
features opulent graphics, epic locations, a thrilling fantasy crime story
and a unique puzzle design that differs from chapter to chapter

Chains of Satinav was great! I'll dl this asap when I get home. Thanks for the info.
I wish they finished the third Deponia aswell though.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

How many chapters long? |
8 IIRC, already deleted it. Spent around 10 hours in the game, Chains of Satinav (which I finished yesterday for the first time ) took me a bit longer, the puzzles were more abstract. Memoria is entirely logical (at least for me).
Oh, and if anyone thought that (heavy ending plot spoiler)
Spoiler: | Nuri and Geron will be together, you thought wrong. She ends up spending too much time as the Raven and forgets everything, to the point that she thinks she IS a raven. There are two endings for them: you can have her changed back into a fairy again, with no memory of basicaly anything, or let her go and be free as a bird. Sucks either way. At least the other hero gets a good ending |

Great game. I've just finished it. I kinda rushed it towards the end tho.
Spoiler: | Did anyone manage to get Caverns of fail achievement? |
Oh, and btw...
Spoiler: | Can you save Bryda? And does it matter if you choose Geron or Bryda to finish telling the story?
I let Nuri fly away as Raven. The other ending is, i presume, explaining her everything from the begining (who she was/is, who you are, what happened, etc...)?

Ending cinematic was great and i hope they'll work it out eventually. Daedalic makes some really nice games...both adventures and rpgs.
Cant wait to see how their new, upcoming game "Blackguards" will look like.

Stuck :/
Spoiler: | I'm at the part where i'm going to defeat the prince, but i'm on the upper right tower and i have these illusion figures. It said i should check other rooms to find some logic to guess which is what. Well, i did find some logic, but i guess logic doesn't really apply and it's more random fucking guesswork because at this point i can only access 2 rooms with statues. I'm being blocked off by the tentacles because i have the crystal in my pocket. How to proceed with this incredibly retarded puzzle? :S |

You can access all rooms, just deactivate the crystal (using your spell)
Hint1:
Spoiler: | One thing is in the same place on both levels of each tower, though in different places for all towers |
Hint2:
Spoiler: | The rest DO have a logic to them, look at both levels of tower number 1 and 2 |
Answer:
Spoiler: |
Not gonna happen Just another hint: 2 pairs always exchange places, shield stays the same. So (example!) a set of armor may exchange place only with a torch, not with a statue |
Frankly, that was one of the easier ones.

Thanks, though you didn't have to partly throw a insult just because i got stuck somewhere you found easy. Everyone who's played a few games such as this know that brainfarts do happen and you go endlessly searching for what's next when it's right in front of your eyes, and when you find out how easy it was it's an epic face palm moment.

It's hardly a puzzle at all, the solution is shown:
Spoiler: |
Check both levels of the second tower to see that Armor changes places with statue, torch with empty place, Shield goes from 2nd in 1st tower to 3rd in second to 4th in the last.
|
So the right combination is:
Spoiler: |
Deduced by compatring with the accesible level of 3rd tower
From left to right:
Torch, Armor, statue, shield, empty |
