Those aren't random letters and numbers. Put the minute number before the letter 'm' and the seconds number before the letter 's' to direct people to the portion of the video you desire.

iv known about that for awhile. Don't know when they added this feature tho.

You can also make a comment; for example "2:21" post, and it works like a link.

I thought there is no need for the high quality one, as you can set it as a standard in the Youtube options now?

Yeah but most people that watch youtube are your average pc users and they probably don't know that so I like to post the link in high quality if there is one.
