Friend did that for Credit Card numbers. He made a commercial posing as an agency that will check whether your Credit Card number got stolen online. Then he put it on youtube, and then put some cash down to advertise the vid. He included phone, email, office location, everything to make it look legit. Hundreds of people sent him their CCs, along with address and all the rest. Youtube didn't seem to mind either.
Moral of the story: the world is populated by dumbasses, and it's really easy to make easy cash off of em.
