was sentenced today by United States District Judge Mark R. Kravitz in New Haven to three years of probation for conspiring to commit criminal copyright infringement. Judge Kravitz also ordered MENDEZ to perform 200 hours of community service.
That's not that bad. Is he ever allowed to touch a computer again? That's the ruling that would get me.

Love these kinds of articles with their quotemarks for all those "fancy" "hacker" "terms". Bummer for the guy for getting caught though it could have been worse with a prison sentence.

kinda sad for the feds that they now sentence someone to 200h community service after operation fastlink that was 5 years ago conducted...
He probably will educate people in computer lessons.. Though sentence 5 years after being busted...

yeah, well, whats the point in a community service punishment?
Thats saying, guys continue, just stop when you get caught... kinda lame
