Hi,

I recently bought a popcorn A110 with a 500GB hard disk drive. I put some movies on there, but i have some serious lag issues (playing from hard drive, MKV's, avis, 1080p and 720p) and I have those issues with all of them, same thing occurs when streaming from my desktop.
A friend of mine also bought a popcorn, but without the hard drive in it, and everything is extremely fluid with his device.

I tried a firmware upgrade, but didn't help either. Any idea what could cause this?

thx a lot for any input

Could it be your network? You could try copying some file or use some prog which can test your network. Don't know much about these specific devices, just trying to eliminate the obvious.

Hi,

I found the issue. I bought a discount model from a shop because they used it to in their showroom. When I plugged it in at my place, it was already configured, but for the shop, not for my setup. Problem is now solved.
For you skeptics out there:
This machine is great. Plays full HD movies without any lag or slowdown. Even streams 1080p movies perfectly over wireless.
I bought one because my desktop wasn't powerful enough to render 720p movies without some serious lag (it's an old system).

thx for the suggestions
