Dead Rising 2
Dead Rising 2 Announced For PC & Consoles
Western, external studio creating multi-platform Dead Rising sequel on Capcom's behalf:
Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today confirmed that Dead Rising 2 is in development for three different gaming platforms: the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Sony Computer Entertainment’s PLAYSTATION 3 (PS3) and the PC. The sequel to the 1.5 million-plus selling Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2 will take the franchise to a new level of zombie-killing fun with tens of thousands of zombies, the all new gambling paradise of Fortune City to explore and conquer plus a host of new in-game objects that can all be used as deadly weapons to stave off the zombie assault.
Dead Rising 2 is set several years after the infamous zombie invasion of Willamette. Unfortunately, the zombie virus was not contained at the conclusion of Dead Rising, spreading unchecked throughout the United States and Dead Rising 2 depicts a country where zombie outbreaks continue to strike.
Dead Rising 2 is being developed in partnership with up and coming Canadian developer Blue Castle Games. A number of members from the original Dead Rising team will be working alongside Blue Castle Games throughout the development process, including Capcom’s global head of research and development, Keiji Inafune, who as the game’s Producer will play an active role in the project.

the first game i didnt finish.
hard as fuck.... you kill all the zombies on a restaurant for example, when you comeback 5m later is full of zombies again..
and the story missions were almost impossible to beat....
and lots of loadings, loading to enter outside the mall, loading to enter a restaurant, loading to enter a store, etc.
if they fix this in dead rising 2, the game is going to kick ass.

Why so Hypeous? ...about this one?
It's not like some small indie-like development studio will turn Capcom into respectable crew. Just look how last Resident Evil turned out.

The first game was meant to be played through like 10 times, hence why you keep all your experience and crap. Finishing the story in your first playthrough, is near impossible.

I mean, I couldn't explore and just do silly things, because I knew I had to do things so I could finish the game in time. That's bullshit.
I understand the reason they had it, but I don't think it's worth it at all, it's a lot more fun to progress in your own pace. |
thats right yondaime.
for god sake i rly hope they dont put the time limit, and the other shit i already said.

which is why I never got through it. I got to the guy who was fenced in the store room, saved a couple kids or something from another store, died, had to start back from the beginning due to lack of save points, I said fuck this, game is over rated as fuck and quit playing it.

Pretty much all newer Capcom games come to PC, and they joined the PC Alliance or whatsitcalled...

It's probably using that multi-platform engine they developed.
Lost Planet, DMC 4, Dead Rising (And this sequel), Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5 all use this new engine they've created and one of it's strengths from one interview I read a while ago is that's it's easy for them to use it and update it over multiple platforms so developing for both X360 and PS3 or even the PC seems to be easier thus most games cover all those platforms.
(So far the only one that wasn't released on PC was Dead Rising 1 though RE 5 is still not officially confirmed.)
