Well my Buddy and I just upgraded his pc. Everythink works fine except graphics when playing. So there are no errors when working in windows or viewing vids. But when we start a game, we just see flickers and stripes. Even when we look into the ccc and view the 3d previes screen, just lines, flickers and stripes.

Everything other seems to be fine, temp is about below 50° and the fan is rotating at 39%.

Any suggestion would be fine.

sounds like artifacts
either bricked card with factory defect or driver installation didn't go right, try different drivers or reinstall current one, was OS installed before or after upgrade, try to reformat as well.
if that not gonna help then vcard is kaputski

-PSU Wattage and Amps
-Defective GPU (Graphic Card Unit)

Have you tried to remove the GPU and set it back "properly" using the 1st PCI(e) slot (closest to the CPU), also check if the cables from the PSU are seated properly in to the GPU...grasping at straws here...also see if the DVI plug is firmly seated at the back of the GPU.

But sounds like you might have a botched card there...

As this is a new PC I am not sure if you had a Nvidia card installed at any time prior to the ATI card?. I mention this as you said you ran Driver Sweeper...

Deinstall the current graphic driver using "Control Panel\Uninstall a Program"

Download CCleaner and boot up the PC in safe mode (hit F9 when booting, normally when you see the Intel Logo "might differ from BIOS to BIOS") If you are running a Intel Chip set that is Smile...if not its the last loop before windows starts loading.

In safe mode run Driver Sweeper 1st removing whatever you had prior. Then run CCleaner set to "Registry"

Reboot and install CCC 9.1 again!.

So as I mentioned everything was new except the dvd-writer. It is a DFI LanParty board, q8200, 4x1gb corsairs, samsung hdd and a 550 watt power supply with the needed 2x6pins power adapters.

I will try to get the card out and fit it back. And yes it is in the first express slot.

To me, with the flicker's, it's rather defective card, or badly installed driver's or broken driver's.
