If you grew up in the early ’90s, then Color Dreams games might be something you were aware of. Locally, a Christian bookstore stocked every last one of them, and with the benefit of hindsight and their buy it now prices on ebay, I wish I’d bought them all. You don’t have to worry about having that kind of non-buyer’s remorse for Jesus Christ RPG though, as it will be completely free to play. Jesus Christ RPG is the second of three planned Christ-inspired RPGs.
Baby Jesus Christ RPG will theoretically precede it, while Rise Jesus Christ RPG seems like it would naturally follow it. The graphics are a wee bit on the primitive side, and I say that as someone who not only owns an OUYA, but uses it regularly. Yes, there is such a thing, and no, it isn’t a verifiable act of God – I’ve talked with Nationwide about it. The art style alternates between something that tries to resemble a 16-bit RPG and something in an almost South Park Canadian head art style, but with early N64-level graphisc. Actually, no, they’re far worse than that. Those had shading at least – these are all flat and just look unappealing to the eye. None of the games have set release dates, so the second coming might happen before anyone has a chance to play them. |
