Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is an upcoming game about traveling, sharing stories, and surviving manifest destiny. Featuring gorgeous illustration by Kellan Jett, Where the Water Tastes Like Wine combines 2D visuals with a 3D overworld US map. Players wander through the United States - and through a century of history - to meet a variety of people, each with their own stories to tell.
Game Features:
A variety of folk tales and personal stories to encounter, told by characters from all over America
Beautiful combination of 3D overworld and 2D illustration in its own unique style
Stories by a wide selection of excellent writers
An emerging fantastical, psychedelic, surreal, and creepy tinge as the game continues
VGA while it helps, it's bullshit that you NEED that.
This was a niche game, not much interest and they spend a lot for what it was. Also, their devs are a bit of cunts towards gamers so it wouldn't surprise me that garnered some bad word of mouth.
I'm interested to play it, not at the price they ask though.
I'm pretty sure things would be better if for example Totalbiscuit had made a WTF is... video about this game. Outside of the 250k views it would get, someone would have posted it here and the thread would be bumped and the same would happen in other communities.
Also, is there drama, what's that about going against gamers? Feed me dev drama if it exists, I love it.
