Can someone fill me in on how this new facility actually works? I have zero idea about it & just wanted to know how does this process actually work. I assume this feature was added with the new Xbox Experience update, right?

So does this allow you to install any game on the HDD & boot it off the drive? I mean let's assume I bought a un-modded console & got a friend's original game DVD & installed it. Will I be able to return that DVD & run the game off it?

You can't even fit 2 games on a "20 gb" HDD though :/

I deleted EVERYTHING except updates and saves ... I can never get higher than 12-13 GBs free. Not enough room for GTAIV and RE5!

While the DISK sizes are always 7.4GB, the actual game itself can be anywhere from 3 to 7.4GB. I've got a couple of games that are less than 7.4 (Viking is only 5.5GB and even FEAR2 isn't 7.4)
