I have a problem with a Razor 1911 rel of Empire Total War - can't run the game. There is an error with missing "steam_api.dll". I've downloaded it and copied to the Directory but I it displayed another error. Can You help?

Another error: Not found procedure entrance point SteamUserStats in steam_api.dll (I've translated from polish so it could be different notice).

Ok Thanks Now I've got missing mss32.dll - it's like neverending story. I've checked google - there are some people with the same problem but without a solution

Yes, it is, but you're missing files, or you run the cracked exe in the wrong folder.

Yes I know that I missed some files but I'm not the only one dealing with the same problem. Installation witout errors, copied all files from Crack directory properly. So WTF is wrong ???

if you want to make sure you ain't missing any files you can do what i did
-copy dvd1 and dvd2 to a folder
-rename the 13 files from Empire Total War_diskX to EmpireTotalWar_diskx (remove the space)
-make a bat file

why do people keep making this mistake?
cmd "c:\folder with spaces\file with more spaces.ext" <- works fine

might aswell share .bats i made..

Solved the problem. Downloaded one more time CD 2 and now everything runs OK. Many files was missing so downloading every file from net wouldn't help.
BTW It's a really shitty installer from Razor.

when i installed the game it didnt even create a exe file in
C:\Program Files\Empire Total War
so does that mean its a bad download?

There is no exe file in main directory. It must be copied from crack

I downloaded and copyed the missing dlls, and it still dosent work, I just get a new error message.
This Razor release is a crap. What a disgrace for Razor1911.

what has razor's rls to do with your shitty source ?
seriously guys, the razor release has its issues, we all know it, but incomplete downloads aren't theirs.

You missed the point. Installer is bad because it didn't displayed any error during the installation despite being broken.

The release IS working, but somehow the installer misses alot of files for some people. The simplest sollution is to find a friend who the install works for, and then copy all the files that you are missing from that person.
At least that's what I did, and I was missing about 6GB worth of files.

I didnt bother making a new topic so I'll use this one
I patched the razor release with 2 of its patches(1st patch had a problem with sound sfx.pack, when i had the original file it just went from 83% to 100 over and over again and when i used fixed sound sfx.pack it had an error at that point) and with the 6th patch from damador.'s rapidshare. I tried all cracks and with everyone the game just crashed on the desktop when the copyright came. Also, I got no errors. Does anyone know how to fix it? I really want to play, but I dont wanna play without patches.

Just installed the Razor1911 special forces ver of this last night, no problems at all, except for the custom installer asking for the location of the files several times, but installed and launches just fine ...
