That Euro stuff is still in effect? didn't think it was, odd but I guess they won't change it anytime soon, probably works just fine for them despite the higher price when compared to the US dollar or whatever other currencies works with Steam.
(Could be taxes and such pushing the price up but I don't think that's the cause.)

There's no tax on digital dl where I come from. And 1 euro for 1 dollar.. That's just silly!! They won't even bother reply to my e-mails asking them about it.. And I have bought nearly 100 games of steam.. I say fuck them!

Another reason why the UK sucks hard - We get charged 15% Value Added Tax on anything other than books, clothes and food. Sad

Agreed the euro stuff is expensive but in this thread only the cheap deals and I cannot get World of Goo anywhere cheaper than 5 euro, 5 USD would be nice but I don't live there (Thank God for that Very Happy) so I have no choice.

Than agian.. Why should I pay in Euros..? That's a currency we do not use (makes the exchange rate even worse).. We are not even a member of the EU.

Everything was in USD before so that's not really an argument.
However I'd rather have Steam set a price in the currency you wanted to pay but this makes them more money I think Smile

LOL - you people are just not creative enough! Simply do what I do:

1. Use team viewer with a friend from the US.
2. Launch their browser and login to your steam account.
3. Buy anything you want and get charged with dollars.
4. BONUS - you can even buy the US only games like the Rockstar game pack, splinter cell and GTA IV.
5. Open your steam client, download and play your new games!

Creativity like that could end up in you losing your account. And yes I would happily accept a currency like 1dollar = 1 nok. But that is not realistic, the same way as 1dollar = 1euro. I just hope that they will realize it soon.

You will not lose your account because for all they know you could be a US resident who just went on a trip to a foreign country and you play your games from your awesome laptop Smile

Actually, he's probably reading his bank statements and giggling about how insanely rich he is.

A very fast business trip. No that won't fly. Unless you buy the game and wait X hours before logging into steam on your computer that won't work as a defense. The only way you're going to avoid that is to login to their account on their machine and gift the games to your account.

Well, that's true and also a great way, but you ppl are too paranoid. They don't track this sorta thing. I've been doing it for 2 years now.

Hmmm can I order a key from G2Play even if I'm not from the Czech Republic or Poland?

L4D is looking pretty cheap.

Yes, you can. I bought one for L4D and I'm not from CZ or PL. No problems with transaction/cd key/steam. It all worked very well.
But to be sure check that their cd keys are supported in your country too.

Hey thx for the link Smile

I have just bought The Orange Box for 8.97 Euro from this store, but I noticed that the steam key I got was a german so I'm worried that it's censored.

Ps. The steam key works fine for me, I just don't know if it's censored. If somebody knows anything about an uncensor fix please let me know.
