that's pretty cool. does it work with other games besides that live for speed thing?
also that accelerate/brake method seems a bit unintuitive, but i can't think of a better one that wouldn't need 3d positioning.
if you need some betatesting, i'd give it a go. should be good for a trackmania session
well it's pretty simple atm. My program just manipulates the mouse. And LFS is catching the mousemovement so both of them work well together. The pulling and pushing is just a placeholder. In two or three days my IR LEDs should arrive.
I will mount them to an old steering wheel. Then I'll inverse the pulling and pushing stuff. So that when you pull the wheel towards you, you'll drive faster.If you push it away youll brake Maybe I'll make it into a smooth movement, who knows.
My main assigment was open-gl though I have to expand my open-gl 3d testing enviroment
